In the book " Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch ", there is a saying that is very worth chewing repeatedly. Ordinary people see two, and wise people understand it. The nature of the nature is the Buddha nature. How to understand this sentence? In the book "Han" , the explanation of Buddha's teachings was found.
In the book " Buddha's Biography " written by Zen Master Yixing, after Siddhartha heard the truth,
On the way to spread the Dharma, he met King Kamada. When the two met for the first time,
King Kamada gave Siddhartha a lot of praise and help on the way to find the Dharma.
At the same time, King Kamada asked Siddhartha that after he obtained the supreme truth, he must guide him to extradite him from the sea of suffering.
At this time, the two met and happened to return the agreement between the two at that time. Siddhartha came slowly.
In front of King Kamada, he was full of compassion and compassion. King Kamada had already known about Siddhartha's knowledge. Looking at the loving Siddhartha, King Caprata was moved. You did not make any mistakes. Hearing the sayings from everyone
You have heard of it. Siddhartha introduced himself at this time, yes, they all said that I had awakened and called me: Buddha
The king was shocked when he heard the title of Siddhartha. At this time, King Kamada had arisen with "two" hearts. He said: You are no longer my old friend, you are now a wise enlightened , and I am a fool.
The Buddha saw that King Caprada had aroused the heart of "there are two in the extreme", and just took this opportunity to begin to enlighten him to escape from the state of ignorance. So the Buddha's teachings and dialogues are given below. The great way is simple, let's learn and realize them together.
The Buddha said: At first, when we first met, you observed me with wisdom and thought we treated each other with close friends. Now, you observe me with your thoughts, and your thinking cannot distinguish the differences between you and me.
You think that I have become a Buddha from Siddhartha and a enlightened person with wisdom. (In fact, King Capara has already risen to discriminatory mind. In the past, Siddhartha was an ordinary person who was determined to seek the supreme truth. I recognized this young man and recognized his spirit of seeking the truth. I am willing to be his close friend)
Now, I, King Capara, and King Capara, have not changed, have been living in pain and cannot obtain the supreme truth. I am still a fool. If I still call Siddhartha a close friend, there will be a rift of clinging to it.
In order to further teach King Kamada and eliminate his "two extreme views", the Buddha asked him a question: Do you usually follow morality or follow the Dharma? As soon as this question came out, King Maharaja was confused. Morality already belongs to the highest standard in his cognition. How come there is a standard for Dharma?
Buddha’s teachings: Morality distinguishes between heaven and hell, do good things and go to heaven; do bad things and go to hell. Morality distinguishes between heaven and hell, and believes that heaven is good and hell is bad. In fact, good or bad are both the "dual view of the edge" cognition of ordinary people.
So what is "law"? The standard of law is that there is no good or bad, no desire to go to heaven or hell. Like King Kamada, the Buddha was born between heaven and earth, walking freely, without you, me, and his distinction, to adhere to the right way.
Understand yourself, let go of your thoughts, do not distinguish between spring, summer, autumn and winter, do not see the trees withering in autumn and rise up with sadness, and do not rise up with joy because of the blooming flowers in spring, all round and all round, and all full and no dissatisfaction.
When everyone removes the flesh attached to the bones of the body, there will be no difference in the perception of beauties and beasts. A pair of skeletons, no matter who looks, it is the same.
Many things (such as people) are essentially the same, but we all live in the superficial phenomena of eyes and thoughts and ignoring the essence of things.
