Lingyin Temple is located in the northwest corner of the West Lake Scenic Area. Here, the peaks are beautiful, the streams are clear, and ancient trees are towering. There are many ancient sites, caves and stone carvings, and are known as the Southeast Buddhist Kingdom.

Lingyin Temple was first built in in the first year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (326 AD). It was built for the Indian monk Huili. The building is majestic and grand, and it is one of the ten famous Zen temples in our country. The temple has the Heavenly King Hall, the Great Hall, the Medicine Buddha Hall, the Huayan Hall, the Five Hundred Arhat Hall and the Sutra Tower. It is national key cultural relics protection unit .

Feilai Peak in front of Lingyin Temple is also called Lingjiu Peak. Huili, a monk from the founding temple, once climbed this mountain and said, "This is a small peak on Lingjiu Mountain in Tianzhu. I wonder when I was flying here?"

In the 38th year of Kangxi, the imperial cliff was written inscribed with three big words "Feilai Peak ". This peak is full of strange stones and beautiful scenery. There are 345 well-preserved stone carvings and statues with various shapes and exquisite shapes on the main caves and the south bank of Lengquan River.

Lingyin Temple also has many beautiful legends, such as: Jigong bed, Jigong handprints, Jigong hat, Yishitian, Huyuan Cave, etc. In addition, the towering ancient forests are also dotted with cold springs, leeways, Longhong Caves, Yulu Caves, Ligong Tower and other scenic spots. There are also Yongfu Temple, Taoguang Temple and Santianzhu Temple nearby. It has a long history and unique architecture, making people linger.
