When he was sixty years old, he met Master Zhizhe in Dasu Mountain, Shandong. As soon as he heard the master's Dharma sound, he immediately realized the profound Dharma essence. Therefore, he devoted himself to the wisdom of meditation and practiced the Samadhi of Paramita. One day, suddenly, a pheasant came to ask him for his life. At this time, a god scolded the pheasant and said, "The master should be reborn in the Pure Land, how can you repay your life?" It was not until later that he was sick that he vowed to dedicate his blessings and good deeds he had practiced throughout his life to be reborn in the Pure Land of the West, and then he remembered the Buddha with sincerity and chanted the Buddha's name. I wonder if he can be reborn in the Pure Land?" Amitabha said, "Because he persuaded you, you have the intention to practice and recite the Buddha's name. You can now go back to the Saha world and practice the achievements of the Pure Land more diligently. Three years later, you two will be reborn in our country , Pure Land ." Once the three-year period arrives, both novice monks met Amitabha and the Bodhisattvas and came to take him from the West.
