Pavilions and pavilions are built along the mountain, and the carved beams and painted buildings are hidden by the green trees. Among the cliffs in the mountain, there is a large cave on the cliff. In the ninth year of Zhenyuan (793), it took 150 years and seven generations to carve out the large Buddha statue that began to take shape on the cliff. By Song Gaozong the first year of Shaoxing (1131), Mei Xiu, a layman in southern Sichuan, led the stone carving master Zhou Yi and others to carve out the outline of the giant Buddha, which was considered completely completed. The Buddha's head was chiseled in the first year of Xiantong in the Tang Dynasty (860) and completed in Guangming Yuan. Year (880). The construction of the Buddha's body began in the first year of Jingkang in the Northern Song Dynasty (1126), which lasted 26 years, and was completed in the 21st year of Shaoxing (1151) in the Southern Song Dynasty. The entire Buddha statue took more than 290 years to be excavated.
