Good protection of thoughts is to protect your every thought, prevent being led by your nose by greed, hatred, and delusion, and prevent yourself from being overwhelmed by selfish thoughts and delusions.

We know that it is difficult for people to calm down. It is said that our human brain has more than one thousand trillion neurons. What we see, hear, do, think, feel, and perceive are stored in these neurons. The memory stored in the brain moves irregularly, and when it appears as a thought, you don’t know it will happen. Therefore, how the brain works is still a mystery.

Through the brain instrument test, our brain is active all the time. The brain instrument shows that the brain is like a vast starry sky, with countless stars flashing one after another, even when entering deep sleep, the brain is also moving. Many of our dreams cannot be explained. They are the result of irregular brain movements.

Brain activity What we can feel is consciousness, and consciousness is thought. Our thoughts are uncontrollable, so the ancients called it a heart-wrenching horse. The reason why our thoughts cannot be controlled is that the movement of brain neurons is automatic, and it is not controlled by the master. The reason why it is difficult to practice is that people's thoughts are spontaneous.

Why should we guard our thoughts? We know that everything we do has a beginning, and the beginning starts from the heart. When thoughts are accompanied by needs, there is motivation, and when there is motivation, there is behavior. If the result of the behavior follows the law of cause and effect, then the retribution of good and evil will begin again.

In the law of causality, the cause of a behavior is difficult to determine what the result is.Therefore, the gentleman emphasizes the cause, and the villain fears the effect. Karma is a very difficult problem to explain. In this regard, the Buddha also proposed a very important practice method, namely, the non-self form, the form of human beings, the form of living beings, the form of longevity, the form of no form or illegal form, no eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body mind, color, sound, fragrance and touch. My understanding is, do what you should do, don't have any greed, don't have any ideas.

But it is difficult for us to do this. We always have good and bad points, there are differences between you and me, and there are good and bad things. In this case, our thoughts become chaotic again under the traction of external things, which is the source of pain.

From this point of view, benevolent mindfulness is the starting point of practice. How to protect thoughts well, the following three methods are effective.

One is to keep a quiet heart . The human brain is not always chaotic. If that is the case, the human will collapse. When you are quiet, you have to experience what it feels like to be peaceful in a quiet state. With this kind of experience, in busy work, you have free time to experience quietness, observe your own thoughts, constantly sum up your experience, and make your own kindness and mindfulness continuously increase. This will at least greatly reduce your harm to yourself.

Being able to calm down is a difficult task, and it goes without saying that the benefits of health preservation. In the " altar sutra ", Master Huineng opened the sect: Bodhisattva's self-nature, originally quiet, but with this heart, straightened up to become a Buddha! Quietness is the most basic skill of all practice.

Two is always aware of . Although thoughts are out of control, you can perceive what the thoughts are, and why are there such thoughts? If you think through this idea, it disappears. The most terrifying thing is that people follow thoughts. Therefore, practitioners say: If you are not afraid of thinking, you are afraid of late.

The third is meditation . When a person is moving, the nerves of the whole body are also moving, and the brain is particularly active, and the thoughts at this time will also increase. When people are sitting in meditation, especially when there is no outside interference,Relax the whole body, the brain activity will decrease, and the thoughts will decrease. This is not only a way of rest and health, but also a good way to protect your thoughts. Sitting in meditation for an hour every day is of great benefit to the body and mind.
