Love yourself bravely
Love is an emotion that comes from inside the human body!
The rules and regulations in life always constrain us. In our busy life, we give too much patience and tolerance to others, but we have no sympathy and compassion for ourselves. Sometimes we mentally criticize ourselves and are dissatisfied with ourselves, and slowly forget how to love ourselves properly.
Loving yourself is a natural thing. If we don’t have love, we can’t give love to others, and we can’t truly love anyone.
On December 10, 2022, the "Be Brave to Love Yourself" sex education charity event hosted by Anhui Jianghuai Charity Foundation and hosted by Anhui Sun Umbrella Children's Charity Rescue Center was successfully launched!
The activity started with everyone introducing themselves and getting to know each other. Then, under the leadership of the social worker, the children drew "Myself in My Eyes" and thought about their understanding and evaluation of themselves.
Next, the children learned by watching popular science animations that our views on ourselves are affected by the concepts in our living environment. Social workers inspired the children in the classroom to discover and think about common prejudices in life.
Some children said they were unhappy when their classmates said they were short;
Some children said they felt sad when their teachers said they had dark skin;
Some children said they did not like others saying they were fat.
Social workers use situational approaches to help children think about how they feel when they encounter prejudice, and how to deal with prejudice.
Finally, the social worker summarized the course content, collected feedback on the activities, issued certificates and took group photos.
This lesson "Love Yourself Bravely" allows children to learn how to love themselves and understand that each of us will be affected by various concepts in our living environment. We can reflect on different concepts, think about whether these concepts are reasonable, and discover and reflect on the prejudices around us. More importantly, allows children to realize that everyone is unique and valuable, is equal, and can assume obligations and make their own contribution to society.
