Frostfall is the last solar term in autumn, and it also means that winter is about to begin. In order to let young children understand the relevant customs of Frost Descent and inherit the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, the theme education activity of "Trial Culture and Recognizing Frost Descent" was launched on October 23, 2022. During the
activity, teachers and children in each class carried out activities through cloud connection. Through videos and teachers' passionate explanations, they guide children to understand the origin and customs of Frost Descent, stimulate children's interest in Chinese traditional culture, and at the same time guide children to love Chinese traditional culture more in the activity: some children use handmade methods to understand that Frost Descent is coming, persimmons are ripe, and persimmons represent "persimmons and persimmons are wishful for" in traditional Chinese culture, with auspicious and beautiful meanings; some children use various forms of leaves to make exquisite leaf paintings to feel the beauty of late autumn; some children recite ancient poems about Frost Descent, and understand that the twenty-four solar terms are closely related to ancient poems, so they are more willing to explore and study the artistic beauty of ancient Chinese poetry.

Through this activity, not only let children know the relationship between solar terms and climate change, but also have a deeper understanding of Chinese traditional culture, and at the same time establish the awareness and concept of getting close to nature and protecting nature. Taking this as an opportunity, teachers in each class let parents understand how children carry out thematic activities in kindergartens through a variety of activities, and contribute to the work of co-education in our kindergarten.
