For centuries, people have been discussing how to be a meaningful life.
Some people think that a meaningful life is happiness:
1. Happy and fulfilling life.
2. Have goals and meanings of life.
3. Work hard for meaningful life goals
3. Have a sense of self-existence and psychological happiness.
4. Social happiness (others respect themselves and good interpersonal relationships).
5. Health and physical fitness (healthy body, good physical fitness).
A meaningful life is a necessary condition for the existence of happiness.
On the other hand, happiness means feeling good now and being in a state of comfort. It makes sense to think that your life makes sense. It brings a sense of happiness.
But happiness does not ensure meaning. For example, if I was assigned a job at work and I quickly and successfully completed it, I would most likely be happy, especially my boss recognized my efforts. But that doesn't mean I did something meaningful.
So what makes sense?
1. Sense of belonging. In various relationships, you will be respected for who you are, and in these relationships you will be respectful to others. These relationships make you feel important and treat others with respect.
2. Purpose: Use your time to make valuable contributions to the world.
3.Tell stories. In order to live a meaningful life, we have to create a cohesive story about who we are and how we are to be such people.
4. Transcendence: Transcendence is something stronger than oneself. Transcendence is one of the most profound experiences in life.
How can a meaningful life be considered?
I think it is:
Use your skills and talents to benefit society. Dedicated to moral behavior and meaningful work. "Be a man and do good." Promising to be a better self.
Just like Victor Frankel said: The meaning of your life lies in helping others find your own meaning.
