American water and online sailing training provider NauticEd has established a partnership with Australian VR sailing simulation solution provider MarineVerse to jointly provide VR sailing courses based on VR games and sailing training technology and software.
It is reported that the VR sailing course "Self Mastery" was jointly developed by two companies. The course features sailing training and aims to create a realistic, entertaining immersive virtual sailing sailing experience.
Through training, students will be able to master the skills of sailing, control and navigation and sail repair, and obtain training data based on the training module in a timely manner. The two companies revealed that other more complex modules, such as docking and maneuvering within the dock, night navigation and inclement weather, are under development.
