On October 11, on the banks of the Baima River in Zoucheng, Jining, Shandong, the new energy ship manufacturing project of Jining Energy Development Group (hereinafter referred to as "Jining Energy") officially started. The project will rely on the advantages of Jining Energy's modern port and shipping logistics industry chain to create the first green, intelligent, modern and standardized new energy ship manufacturing base in the country that integrates R&D design and intelligent manufacturing.
The project is planned to cover an area of about 1,125 mu, with a total investment of 2.96 billion yuan, and the first phase of the project has an investment of 2.13 billion yuan. It will build four production workshops, including joint hull workshops, sectional welding workshops, coating workshops, and outfitting comprehensive workshops, and are planned to be completed and put into use by the end of 2023. After the first phase of the project is completed, it will have the annual production capacity of 240 ships and 100 ship repairs. After the overall completion of the project, it will have the production capacity of 400 ships and 100 ship repairs annually, with annual sales revenue of 3.3 billion yuan.
"New energy ship manufacturing base is a major project for Jining energy to lay out the inland river shipbuilding field. The popularization of high-quality new energy as a driving force will surely shape a new pattern of domestic river shipping development in my country." As a representative of the project design unit, Wang Qi, deputy general manager of of China Shipbuilding No. 9 Design Research Institute Engineering Co., Ltd., said that in the future, this project can become a benchmark project for domestic river new energy ship manufacturing in my country, and a leading equipment manufacturing traction project connecting the north and south to connect rivers and seas and inland river shipping in green development.
This project takes green and intelligent shipbuilding and green intelligent shipbuilding as the direction, and has built digital workshops and intelligent factories to lead the "digital and intelligent transformation" of inland ship manufacturing, vigorously promote the modularization, standardization and batchization of ship manufacturing, accelerate the upgrading and iteration of inland ships, and lead the new pattern of China's Jiangbei smart green logistics development. "The project positioning is highly in line with the guiding opinions of the five national ministries and commissions to accelerate the green and intelligent development of inland ships, and will effectively drive the agglomeration and development of industries such as steel and high-end chemicals in the hinterland, and inject new vitality into regional economic and social development." said Wang Jianwen, deputy secretary of the Zoucheng Committee and mayor.
According to reports, Jining Port is positioned as an important launch port for the main channel of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal water transportation, and is an important hub for the comprehensive transportation system of in southwestern Shandong. It is an important support for Jining City to guide industrial layout, develop economic belt along the canal and implement the development strategy of "promoting the city with rivers". According to forecasts, by 2025 and 2035, the overall cargo throughput of Jining Port will reach 100 million tons and 130 million tons respectively. Based on relevant conditions, it is expected that the annual growth rate of demand for ships transported by Jining Port will reach more than 15%, and the annual demand for new ships will reach more than 500.
"At present, Jining Energy is making every effort to build a full-port and shipping industry chain system of 'port, trade, ship, production, construction and integration'. This new energy ship manufacturing project is an important part of it." Zhang Guangyu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Jining Energy, believes that after the project is completed, it will be of great significance to improve the regional transportation structure of Shandong South , extend the operation cycle of the highway network, promote the improvement of the ecological environment, promote the rapid development of the regional economy, build a port and shipping economic ecological system, and realize the economic rejuvenation of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.
