On October 25, the reporter learned from the Changchun Forestry and Gardening Bureau that as the weather turns colder, Changchun Friendship Park strengthens, adjusts, fills straw and other maintenance work on artificial straw-woven bird nests hanging on trees in the park, preparing for wild birds to return to their nests for wintering.
In 2021, the Greenland Management Center of Changchun Nanbu New City Park launched the "Set for Birds" activity, organizing party members to participate in hanging more than 100 artificial bird nests. In addition, the straw-woven bird nests made by the management office itself, there are currently 135 bird nests in the park for migratory birds to settle down.
Recently, during the adjustment and reinforcement process, the staff found that most bird nests had traces of bird nesting. Last winter, Changchun Friendship Park placed three loving bird food distribution sites in the park. The measures to supplement bird food to help wild birds spend the winter well achieved good results, which facilitated tourists coming to the park to feed the birds in winter, and aroused people from all walks of life who love and protect birds to come and donate relief food.
This winter, the park will continue to set up love bird food distribution points in the park. Citizens and friends are welcome to the Friendship Park to offer love to the birds.
