Qilian Mountain Nature Reserve
Qilian Mountain is located on the northeast edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, at the junction of western Gansu Province and northeastern Qinghai Province. It is a mountain composed of a series of parallel mountains and inter-mountain valleys that run northwest-southeast.
Qilian Mountain is known for its width. Its north-south width reaches 200-400 kilometers, the main peak is 5,808 meters above sea level, and other peaks are mostly at an altitude of 4,500-5,500 meters.
Dark-bellied snow chicken, light-bellied snow chicken, kite, Golden Eagle , Huwuqiu , Jade belt sea eagle and other birds, argali, Rock goat , brown bear, snow leopard, stone mink and other animals are distributed in alpine bare rocks, alpine rock beaches, near snow lines and forest belts above 3,000 meters above sea level.

In recent years, efforts to protect ecological environment and wildlife protection have been continuously strengthened, people's awareness of protecting wildlife has been enhanced, and the ecological environment in forest areas has been effectively restored.
In recent years, Xinjiang Tianshan National Nature Reserve has continuously increased its efforts in wildlife monitoring. According to the judgment of different wild animals' activity ranges, infrared cameras were arranged in the forest area, and pictures and video materials of key protected animals such as snow leopards, north goat , red deer, brown bear, wolf, lynx , and black piano chicken were successively taken.
