Recently, while walking on the sidewalk of Huxin Street in Quanzhou City, I lowered my head and saw that the ground was bright red, which was very eye-catching. Out of curiosity, I picked up a broken flower and took a closer look. The petals were bright red, and there was a circle of golden patterns on the edge. The flower shape was as gorgeous as a burning flame. Looking up at the tree again, flowers are blooming among the branches and leaves, like clusters of flames rising towards the sun.

It turns out that this is the flame tree , and now is the time to bloom. It comes from the Bignonaceae family, a family famous for its ornamental plants. It is native to Africa and is often cultivated in southern provinces and regions of my country, such as Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian and other places. In quanzhou near many parks and schools, flame trees are planted as street trees and become seasonal business cards on the road.

The flower language of the flame flower is worry-free, so it is called the worry-free flower, and the flame tree is called the worry-free tree . Compared with the familiar phoenix flower , the petals of the flame flower wrap around the core like a tulip and grow upward. Because its flower color is bright red, it is like a ball of flames "hanging" on the branches, which means that people should be like flame flowers, dancing with the wind, without worries, and also have the meaning of auspiciousness and beauty.

The ancients recited many words about red flowers. The poet of the Five Dynasties The Southern Tang Dynasty Li Zhong was rich in learning. He knew everything about music, chess, calligraphy and painting, and his calligraphy was especially good. He was called a "poetry maniac". His poem "Red Flower" is unique. It does not praise the appearance and appearance of flowers, but only talks about the color. In it, "the color of red flowers covers thousands of flowers" is like describing the flame tree, and the bright colors "cover thousands of flowers". What’s interesting is that the poet saw the other side of things from the natural phenomenon that red flowers overwhelm the crowd with their bright red color: “Safflower” clearly refers to “red flowers”, but also alludes to people “becoming popular” and “dyed with light flowers”. Mo Xianggui, the ancients advocated frugality and warned against luxury. "It warns people clearly but secretly. It is simple but profound. It seems to cherish flowers and is lyrical, but it is also warning the world and is full of philosophy.

The worry-free flowers bloom and the flames are in full bloom; the flowers bloom into a scene and the flowers fall into poetry. Looking at the fallen red all over the ground under the flame tree, one can't help but think of poems such as "Falling red is not a heartless thing, it turns into spring mud to protect the flowers", "There are many autumn grasses in the south of the West Palace, and the fallen leaves are full of red and will not be swept away".
