Milk stasis , commonly known as milk accumulation, is an important cause of acute mastitis and one of the manifestations of early acute mastitis. Milk stasis is common in breastfeeding women. It can occur at any time during breastfeeding and is a common disease in breast clinics.
Traditional treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for treating milk stasis is significant, simple and easy to use, and no oral medication is required during breastfeeding. Traditional Chinese medicine external treatment methods emphasize the use of universal treatment. One or more methods such as manual milk discharge, external milk dispersion, and needle-relieving treatment can be used in combination.

Technique for milk discharge
Push and rub the meridians and uncluster the meridians. It can not only clear the breasts, but also exercise qi and relieve pain.
specific operation steps are as follows:
Step 1: Click the acupoint to move Qi
The patient takes the supine position, and the doctor presses the milk root, the Danzhong, and the period gate in turn. The pressure is moderate, with a slight soreness and swelling. Press each acupoint about 10 times.
Step 2: Massage and push and rub to unblock
First, the doctor repeatedly stimulates the patient's nipples and areola to cause a milk reflex; then apply its milk on the patient's breasts, and the strength gradually penetrates from the shallow glands to the deep glands. The hands , and the large and hell are pushed several times from the root of the breast to the nipple to promote the discharge of milk from the swollen breasts and make the breasts as soft as possible.
Step 3: Soothe the meridians and relieve milk
The doctor's thumb and index finger rotate between the base of the breast toward the nipple several times, from light to heavy, until the milk accumulates in the breast, and the glands are even and soft. Repeat 3 to 5 times.
When performing breast discharge by manual method, you should pay attention to the following points:
1. First, discharge the healthy side and then discharge the affected side. It is best not to exceed 20 minutes for each operation.
2. When touching breast lump , pay attention to observe whether there are chapped or small emboli in the nipple.
3. The massage strength gradually increases from small to large, the movements are gentle, and do not operate violently to avoid damage.
4. The obvious parts of edema are not recommended.
5. The breast discharge treatment of pushing and rubbing and unblocking the meridian must be carried out under the guidance of a professional doctor. If there is any change in the condition, you must go to the breast specialist for regular treatment in time.
External application of Milutong San

When applying externally, apply it thicker, about 0.5 cm thick, then cover it with plastic wrap or gauze. After 30 minutes, remove the external Chinese medicine and wipe the skin with warm water. Apply twice a day.
