A total of 100 "excellent departments for thrombectomy" and 100 "excellent individuals for thrombectomy" were selected nationwide. Feng Jiyun, director of the Department of Neurological Intervention (Department of Neurology) and the Department of Medical Education and Deputy Chief Physician of Lianzhou People's Hospital, became the only unit and individual in Qingyuan City to enter the list.
Optimize treatment process

Patients with acute stroke can first treat and then pay, give priority to treatment, start a green emergency system, and the expert team attends consultation 24 hours a day... In recent years, in order to ensure that stroke patients receive rapid and effective treatment in golden time, Lianzhou People's Hospital has continuously optimized the treatment process, established a green treatment channel for stroke patients, shortened the hospital's first aid time, and reduced the patient's disability and mortality rate.
In 2018, Lianzhou People's Hospital began to build a stroke center and obtained certification from the Chinese Stroke Society by the end of the year.
On April 30, 2020, the stroke center of Lianzhou People's Hospital was officially established. In June of that year, the construction of the stroke emergency map was added to create a "regional golden time treatment circle". In November, it was certified by the Stroke Working Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission and was awarded the "Stroke Prevention and Treatment Center". AIS endovascular treatment technology has ranked first in the national stroke prevention and treatment center many times. In May 2021, it was awarded the "Comprehensive Stroke Prevention and Control Center" of the Brain Prevention and Control Committee of the National Health Commission. This is also the only national-level comprehensive stroke prevention and control center in Sanlian Yiyang.
Lianzhou People's Hospital Neurology Department is the core department of the construction of the stroke center. It has combined the forces of many departments such as emergency department, neurosurgery, rehabilitation department, interventional department, laboratory department, imaging department and other departments to create a "stroke treatment team" closely linked to multiple disciplines. By moving the intravenous thrombolysis to the emergency department, the current DNT time for cerebral infarction in this stroke center (time from hospital to intravenous thrombolysis medication) is median is 42 minutes.
At the end of 2019, Lianzhou Renyi Neurology Department began to carry out neurointerventional surgery. To date, more than a thousand surgeries have been carried out, including more than 400 emergency vascular internal mechanical thrombectomy and stent implantation surgeries. In 2021, a total of 119 emergency interventional treatment for acute ischemic stroke were performed. The treatment cases radiate Lianshan, Liannan , Yangshan and surrounding provinces. The DPT time (the time to complete femoral artery puncture) has been continuously shortened, and the operation has achieved good treatment results.
Thanks to the development of these key technologies, stroke patients in Lianyang also enjoy the medical level of provincial hospitals at their doorsteps, effectively reducing the disability and mortality rate, and greatly improving the quality of life of patients with cerebrovascular diseases.

Filling technology gap

Acute stroke is a disease with high incidence, high disability rate, high mortality rate, high recurrence rate and many complications.
In patients with acute large vascular occlusion cerebral infarction, intravascular interventional treatment is an important treatment method and has a certain surgical time window. Lianyang area is underdeveloped and has inconvenient transportation. The nearest prefecture-level hospitals are close to 200 kilometers away. Before neurointerventional surgery is performed, patients can only be transferred to the superior hospital for treatment, but the best time for treatment has often been lost.
In order to change this situation, master the latest technology, and allow the masses to get better treatment, in October 2018, while serving as the director of the Department of Neurology, Feng Jiyun applied to study neurointervention technology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University.
After returning to the hospital in 2019, Feng Jiyun began to carry out neurointervention treatment for ischemic cerebrovascular disease , and gradually carried out digital subtraction whole cerebral angiography, carotid artery stent implantation, vertebral artery stent implantation, intracranial vascular stenosis balloon dilation and stent implantation, and acute cerebral infarction intravascular mechanical thrombectomy surgery. These technologies are the first time that Lianyang area has been launched, filling the technological gap in Lianyang area.
The clinical application of each new technology is a health barrier for patients. Aunt Chen, a patient with cerebral infarction in Lianshan Zhuang Yao Autonomous County, won the "golden time" thanks to the development of these key technologies and was promptly treated at Lianzhou Human Medical Stroke Center.
On May 26, 2021, when 55-year-old Aunt Chen was sleeping with her grandson at home, she suddenly developed symptoms such as unclear speech, weak hands and feet on her right side, and unable to move. Her family immediately called 120 for help. Doctors from the People's Hospital of Lianshan Zhuang Yao Autonomous County found that Aunt Chen had cerebral embolism due to heart thrombosis and needed to undergo interventional thrombosis immediately, but the local area could not perform this operation. It is recommended to send it to the stroke center of Lianzhou People's Hospital, which is closest to Lianshan , for treatment.
After receiving the emergency call from Lianshan Human Doctor, Feng Jiyun and Chen Rongping immediately arrived at the hospital in advance for preoperative preparations. After Aunt Chen arrived at the emergency department of Lianzhou People's Hospital, the stroke center team immediately opened a green channel, quickly completed relevant examinations, and immediately sent to the interventional room surgery after preoperative preparations. Cerebral angiography showed that Aunt Chen's left middle cerebral artery was occluded, and the thrombus was successfully removed after thrombectomy surgery, clearing the blocked blood vessels.
After a series of treatments, Aunt Chen recovered and was discharged from the hospital five days later, accompanied by her family.
