On the eve of the 115th anniversary of the construction of the hospital, the hospital history museum was upgraded and officially restarted this afternoon. This revision focuses on improving historical excavation and rich materials for famous doctors. Combined with advanced multimedia technology, it fully demonstrates the historical heaviness and social influence of Ruijin Hospital . Today, a total of 42 curators from the history museum were appointed, with Professor Zhu Zhenggang as the first director. The ceremony was hosted by Yu Yuping, deputy secretary of the Party Committee.

In order to let more people feel and remember the hospital culture, on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of Ruijin Hospital, we upgraded and revised the hospital history museum.
In 1907, Guangci Hospital was born in Shanghai. This is not only a symbol of the rise of Western medicine in China, but also because of the purpose of "widely charity", it is clear that the purpose of medicine is to cure diseases and save people. In 1966, due to historical reasons, Guangci changed its name to Dongfanghong Hospital. Looking back 50 years ago, in 1972, the beloved Premier Zhou named our hospital Ruijin Hospital. Since then, Ruijin Hospital has become the common name of all of us Ruijin people and the hospital for our lifetime. And Guangci has become the name in our memory.
This revision, we have re-examined historical materials, going back to the beginning of Guangci’s construction in 1904, and extended to the content of high-quality new developments in the past five years in 2021; holographic imaging and audio guides were added to the display methods, and Ruijin’s 115-year storm process was presented through digital technology; in addition, the functions of the Third and Fourth Halls on the second floor were expanded, and a small conference room was built to provide employees with a more comfortable cultural place.
A hospital with high-quality development of must be inseparable from the forward power gathered by culture. The History Museum of the Hospital not only has the function of preserving history and governing it, but also a vivid textbook for the training and education of all the hospital staff. I hope everyone can understand history, touch history in the History Museum, feel the Ruijin culture of "widely charitable and medical treatment", and carry forward the Ruijin spirit of "widely loving, pursuing excellence".

After discussion and decision by the hospital's party committee, we are currently appointing academicians, tenured professors, successive party and government leaders and second-level professional and technical professors. A total of 42 comrades are the first librarians of our hospital's History Museum, and Professor Zhu Zhenggang is the first director.

On the occasion of the 115th anniversary of the founding of Ruijin Hospital, I am very honored to participate in today's restart ceremony of the hospital history museum. A total of 42 highly respected academicians, leaders, tenured professors and second-level professors were hired this time, which fully reflects the hospital's emphasis on the hospital's history museum. Looking back, Ruijin Hospital has been stormy years all the way, looking at the present, seeing ward buildings, outpatient buildings, and scientific research and teaching buildings rising from the ground, the entire hospital has been completely renewed, and you can feel that the development of the hospital cannot be separated from a long history and advanced culture. It is precisely because of the outstanding contributions of the older generation of experts and professors that today's hospitals have flourished.
I think the director’s main responsibility is to further explore the history of Ruijin Hospital and better promote the development history of Ruijin Hospital to young employees. As the first director, I am very grateful to our hospital for its trust in me. I think I will do my best to discuss, communicate more with everyone in the development of the hospital, especially in how the hospital history museum can play a better role, and work hard to do a good job.

The first exhibition hall uses the latest virtual photonic film technology to tell the origin of Guangci and the background of the construction of the hospital. It is supplemented by exhibition boards and architectural models to form a combination of virtual and real. It uses four projectors and holographic image technology to truly reproduce the appearance of the buildings in the hospital in the early stages of the construction of the hospital.

" At the beginning of the century, Shencheng was prosperous and Guangci started. In 1904, a road was built across the border, and the most modern Western hospital was included in the plan. After four years, four two-story Western-style brick and wood composite buildings rose from the ground. On October 13, 1907, the hospital was completed, inheriting the style of the integration of Chinese and Western styles. This is the original appearance of the famous Guangci.
When we open today, we will open the whole world. When Huang's French records the history, Guangci established the goal of the hospital at the beginning of the Legislative Yuan: "A large hospital with complete modernization, including internal and surgical diagnosis and treatment services, becoming one of the largest medical centers in the Far East."
Ci should be broad and open, and the medical and Ruijin have been carried to the future. By the 1940s, Guangci Hospital became the largest and largest hospital in China with complete disciplines in the Far East.

After visiting today, I learned that Guangci was the largest hospital in the Far East in the 1940s. I deeply feel that our generations of Guangci and Ruijin people have been inheriting and relaying generations in maintaining the Guangci and Ruijin brands 'becoming bigger and stronger'.
