Motherland acupuncture is a Chinese treasure listed as a "intangible cultural heritage of mankind" by United Nations Educational Science and Technology in 2010, and Guo Chengjie is a national medical master who inherits and develops the acupuncture industry.
Guo Chengjie, born in 1921, is from Fuping County, Shaanxi Province. He is the first person to treat breast hyperplasia at home and abroad. He established the main acupuncture plan for using electric acupuncture to treat breast hyperplasia. The acupuncture treatment plan he established has been written into the textbooks of higher medical institutions across the country.
He also borrowed the idea of Zhongjing theory on regulating the liver to treat the four internal organs. On this basis, he innovatively proposed the academic idea of treating gynecological diseases and conducted traditional Chinese medicine syndrome classification for breast hyperplasia.
Some people say that the fate of life may have a certain number in the dark. Guo Chengjie was born in a poor family. Because his mother was seriously ill, he needed to rush 30 miles to hire a doctor before dawn. If he went late, he would be invited away by other families. Therefore, he respected and longed for him to become a doctor in the future, so he could save people and take good care of his family.
However, his family was poor and he had no way to study medicine. When he was 16 years old, he could only work as an apprentice in Fuping County . He works in a cotton shop and has to do housework. After a year of hard work, he only earns 5 yuan.
It was a coincidence that a Chinese medicine store was opened opposite the cotton shop. Whenever Guo Chengjie had the chance, he would run to the opposite pharmacy and consult the old Chinese medicine doctor in the shop, which gave him a deeper understanding and love of Chinese medicine.
When he was 25 years old, the cotton shop manager lost his property due to gambling, and later died of a serious illness, and the cotton shop closed down. When Guo Chengjie lost his job, he started the Chinese medicinal materials business with his friends, so that until , the founding of New China, .
After the founding of New China, all health personnel were required to take the exam again. Guo Chengjie believed that this was an opportunity to learn traditional Chinese medicine, so he decisively gave up the good-for-business medicinal materials business and went to Xi'an Tailing Traditional Chinese Medicine School system to study traditional Chinese medicine at the age of 28.
In 1950, after graduation, Guo Chengjie went to the Joint Clinic of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Fuping County. He worked here for 5 years. During this period, he also went to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Training Class in Xianyang District and Shaanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Training School for further study.
In the 1950s, Guo Chengjie went to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Teachers' Class of Northwest Traditional Chinese Medicine Continuing School. After graduation, he entered the acupuncture teaching and research department of Shaanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and its affiliated hospitals. He worked until he retired in 1987.
His research on breast diseases originated from a treatment experience. In 1976, he met a middle-aged woman with a breast lump on the first day of transfer to the Oncology Department. Because Western medicine cannot see a good doctor, he thought about trying traditional Chinese medicine.
Guo Chengjie thought about it over and over again, thinking that acupuncture has no side effects, so he might as well give it a try. So he gave the patient acupuncture treatment, but unexpectedly, the patient's lump disappeared after several acupunctures.
This treatment experience made Guo Chengjie realize that acupuncture also has certain efficacy in breast lumps, so he began to study the effect of acupuncture in breast diseases.
With more and more in-depth research, he finally became the first person at home and abroad to treat breast hyperplasia.
After more than 60 years of uninterrupted research and exploration, Guo Chengjie has also achieved significant results in the treatment of difficult and complicated diseases. He has formed his own unique acupuncture theory and acupuncture techniques.
He used acupuncture to cure a large number of patients with stroke , insomnia, facial paralysis, irregular menstruation , hysteria and paralysis , and also accumulated rich clinical experience from it. He also wrote and published more than 40 papers, monographs and textbooks.
In addition, Master Guo Chengjie also created "cervical spine health exercises", using his spare time to teach the people for free, benefiting many patients with cervical spondylosis .
