Cheng Qijian, director and chief physician of the Respiratory and Critical Care Department of the Northern Campus of Ruijin Hospital, said that in the past three months, she has worn "Dabai" many times in the cabin to treat COVID-19 patients. During this period, all hospital doors were closed. Now, they can finally open their doors to provide normal medical services to the public. Starting today, the hospital's normal medical services such as general outpatient clinics, specialist outpatient clinics, and emergency services will resume one after another.
"I am very happy that I have finally waited for this day. This epidemic has greatly improved the comprehensive capabilities of our medical staff, and we have a more comprehensive understanding of Omicron , the treatment and management of elderly patients with other basic We have more experience in treating COVID-19 patients,” Cheng Qijian said.
Currently, more than 20 departments including general surgery, orthopedics, endocrinology, ultrasonic diagnostics, and radiodiagnostic department have been restored. Among them, the expert clinic has accepted appointments for hundreds of patients. Grandma Wu made an appointment in advance with Li Nengping, a general surgery specialist at the hospital, because of upper abdominal pain. In order to meet the public’s medical needs as much as possible, when the Proton Cancer Center of Ruijin Hospital resumed normal medical order on June 6, the hospital opened some outpatient clinics in the Proton Center across the road. As the hospital's normal diagnosis and treatment services gradually resume, these outpatient clinics will also be moved back to the hospital.
Next, the hospital will increase the number of night outpatient clinics or appropriately extend outpatient clinic hours to meet the medical needs of citizens. "We are trying to find ways to open more expert clinics and introduce more experts from the main hospital to the northern campus to serve the public." said Xi Jing, director of the medical business department of the northern campus of Ruijin Hospital.
At present, medical services such as the fever clinic, physical examination center, and nucleic acid testing in the northern campus of Ruijin Hospital have not been restored yet, and are expected to resume in early July. In addition, the second phase expansion project of the hospital has also restarted.
