[Anatomy]

The puncture hand slowly inserts the needle and inserts 0.5 to 1 inch straight close to the orbital rim. When encountering resistance, it is not advisable to forcefully insert the needle, and the direction of needle insertion should be changed or the needle should be withdrawn. It is not suitable to carry out large-scale lifting, insertion or twisting. There may be local soreness and swelling, and the needle sensation may spread to the eyeball and surrounding areas. When removing the needle, be sure to press the needle hole with a cotton ball for a moment to avoid internal bleeding. The needles should be fine and the disinfection should be strict. Direct moxibustion is prohibited.

1, with Chengqi , Shangming, to treat optic atrophy.
