I just heard that a relative's son had been suspended for more than 10 months because of moderate anxiety. So I called his mother and learned that he was shutting himself in the room every day. In addition to taking the doctor's medicine on time, he would sleep and eat. The communication with his parents was: eating, okay, such a shallow communication. The situation has not improved.
1. Exposure therapy
I have been studying "Negging". The theme is the method of treating anxiety disorder. I learned that the most core method of treating anxiety disorder is exposure therapy.
is roughly expressed in popular language:
1. Teach children a set of relaxation methods, such as counting from 10 to 1, taking deep breaths, meditation, etc.
2, define your own fear meter with your child. Like a thermometer, the scale level from 1-10, 1 means it is very pleasant, 3 means it is very relaxed, and 10 means it is extremely panic.
3. When the child’s fear value is below 5, guide the child to imagine what he is afraid of. For example, my relative's son is afraid of school, so he will guide him to imagine what he is going to school. When his fear value rises to 7, he will stop immediately and use the most effective way to relax him, and use the most effective way to reduce his fear value to 3 or below.
4. He repeatedly raised the tension value from 3 to 7, and then dropped from 7 to 3. This is exposure therapy. After a while, he no longer feared his imagination of going to school.
5. Imagination can no longer cause emotional rise. Parents and therapists should take him to the real environment, that is, the school, so that he can face the fear of the school. Or use the third step to make him no longer afraid of the school. Even if the child is healing, he will be considered as healing.
Note: Lawrence Cohen will remind the patient's family and author that healing can only be performed once a week, 1 to 2 hours.
2. Humanistic psychology
I believe Lawrence Cohen’s method is scientific. In the United States, there are countless patients like this who recover from personal psychological treatment clinics like them. They do not need to take medicine at all, unless the patient’s emotions are extremely panic. He will stop taking the medicine for a while, because he has been taking medicine, and the child will not be nervous at all, and there will be no chance of healing.
I don’t know if there is such a medical institution in China. I asked a doctor friend and he told me: No, I can only go to a psychiatric hospital to recover. I said, if you go there, this kid will be useless.
With my limited personal knowledge, I know that this method of individual psychology comes from Carl Rogers 's humanistic psychology. As early as the 1940s, he advocated party center therapy , and the ancestor should be Alfred Adler (the author of "Inferiority and Transcendence"). He is a pioneer of humanistic psychology. They all advocated using love to heal patients with inner trauma.
Carl Rogers didn't know how many people like Lawrence Cohen have been trained. The father of P.E.T Thomas Gordon and Cohen are both students of Rogers . It was because I learned about Carl Rogers's.
The most ironic thing is that Carl Rogers treated many patients in a non-college psychology way, but he was unanimously rejected by experts in the college’s psychology and psychiatry. However, Carl Rogers received the Excellent Professional Contribution Award from the College’s Psychology (in 1972, Carl Rogers won the Excellent Professional Contribution Award from the American Psychology Association).
3. Immediate experience
Has written this, I want to be a joke, I will change to become a therapist. From here, we can find that digging the market is a matter of a moment, and this is a big market.
This article did not think too much about it and was completed in one go.
