After receiving the fourth injection, immune system can be activated in a short period of time, and high-level neutralizing antibodies against the new coronavirus mutant strain can be regained to better improve protection capabilities.
Since 2022, some countries have successively recommended the second dose of enhancing immunity in specific groups. World Health Organization issued statements twice on May 17 and August 18, suggesting that countries recommend the second dose of enhancing immunity in the elderly, people with low immune function, people with underlying diseases and medical staff.
Research conducted by some countries after implementation found that after the second dose of enhanced injection, the protection effect of vaccinated people in preventing infection, severe illness and death can be further improved.
