There are more than 30 islands and reefs in the Neichangshan Islands, with groups in the south and large numbers in the north and fewer islands. At the beginning of the establishment of Neichangshan Fortress District, tens of thousands of officers and soldiers raced against time to build docks, break tunnels, and build roads under very difficult conditions. After decades of blood and sweating, many islands have been hollowed out to build a solid Great Wall of Steel on the sea.
