Guojiayao Village is located a little south to the east of Langang Village, and is only about three or four kilometers away. Standing on Gaogang north of Guojiayao, you can clearly see Langang and the highway extending to the north.
On the top of the hill and on the steep slopes down to the bottom of the hill, two artillery towers of the same style are distributed on one high and one low. The two artillery towers are about 100 meters apart, both of which are narrow in front and wide in the back. They look down at the villages and roads in the valley ahead. The closed secret passage like a tail on the south side of the artillery tower should be the passageways that were connected with external or other facilities back then. The upper half of the artillery building no longer exists, and a large piece of it is buried in the mound of soil in the lower half. The remaining part is incomplete and the bricks and stones are broken. A small tree with lush branches and leaves grows in the belly of the artillery building below. The green green is swaying gently in the breeze, just like the surrounding walls as a huge flower pot.
The old man who grazed sheep on the roadside said: They made a fuss in the Second World War Zone. They built so many artillery towers and some defensive fortifications. They didn't work. They were just harming the people. The People's Liberation Army hasn't fought yet, but they didn't do anything. Look now, there are so many rich people. They don’t need the government’s investment. They spend money and buy land by themselves, and build factories, villas and other areas in this area, which makes the villagers rich.
