As we all know, there is a long island chain between the west of my country's East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean . The main body of this island chain is the Ryukyu Islands ! The Ryukyu Islands are more than 1,000 kilometers long from north to south. The U.S. military and the Japanese Self-Defense Force have built many military bases on the Ryukyu Islands, including Futenma Air Base, Kadena Air Base, and Naha Base. It can be said that the United States and Japan have built the Ryukyu Islands into a long military fortress, and the deployment of military facilities on the Ryukyu Islands by the United States and Japan has not stopped until now!
The US media "Military Observer" website recently stated that the Japanese Ministry of Defense is considering deploying surface-to-air missile systems on Yonaguni Island near Taiwan Island, and will include the cost of purchasing these air defense systems in the Japan Self-Defense Forces' 2023 budget application! US media said: Yonaguni Island is more than 2,000 kilometers away from Tokyo, but only more than 60 kilometers away from the east coast of Taiwan Island. After the long-range air defense system is deployed on Yonaguni Island, the range of the missile is enough to cover the entire northern part of Taiwan Island and can engage fighters over Taipei.
Obviously, when the US media said it could fight with fighter planes over Taipei, the fighters here certainly did not refer to Taiwan Air Force fighters! In recent years, Japan has repeatedly intervened in the Taiwan Strait issue, and even previously made the arrogant statement that "if something happens to Taiwan, something will happen to Japan." Therefore, we have reason to believe that the fighter planes mentioned in the US media article refer to the fighter planes of the People's Liberation Army! In fact, the US media did not conceal this at all, but made it clear that Yonaguni Island and the nearby Taketomi Island and Ishigaki Island will become key venues for Japan to intervene in conflicts in the Taiwan Strait in the future!
Yonaguni Island, Taketomi Island and Ishigaki Island are all islands very close to our country's Taiwan Island. In recent years, the Japanese Self-Defense Force has continued to build military facilities on these islands and plans to deploy a large number of anti-ship missile systems, long-range air defense systems and other weapons and equipment! The Japanese Self-Defense Force is currently equipped with medium and long-range air defense systems such as the Type 03 surface-to-air missile system and the Patriot-3 surface-to-air missile system. If the Self-Defense Force deploys these air defense systems on Yonaguni Island and uses them to intervene in the Taiwan Strait, it will pose a certain threat to the PLA fighters. We have to be vigilant about this!
The Japanese Self-Defense Forces plan to deploy a long-range air defense system on Yonaguni Island fully exposes its attempt to intervene in the Taiwan Strait issue with force. However, if Japan thinks that deploying a few sets of air defense systems can prevent the People's Liberation Army from possible actions in the Taiwan Strait, this is pure wishful thinking! If military facilities on these islands pose a threat to the People's Liberation Army, the People's Liberation Army has the ability to remove them with a dense rain of missiles as soon as possible!
Secondly, the H-6K bomber of the People's Liberation Army Air Force can carry Changjian-20 cruise missiles with a range of more than 2,000 kilometers. Yonaguni Island is less than 500 kilometers away from my country's Fujian Province. The H-6K carries Changjian-20 cruise missiles and can calmly launch missiles in the absolutely safe airspace over the hinterland of our country to destroy the air defense system on the island.At this year's Zhuhai Air Show, my country has publicly demonstrated a space-based hypersonic missile that can be mounted on the H-6K. This missile is extremely difficult to intercept for the current air defense system of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces and can destroy targets on these islands more efficiently!
Thirdly, my country's J-20 fighter jets have been put into service in large numbers. The J-20 fighter jets have excellent stealth performance. Neither the Patriot-3 nor the 03-type surface-to-air missile system can effectively detect the J-20. The J-20 fighter jets also have certain precision ground attack capabilities. With the range and speed of the Attack-2, it can easily fly over islands such as Yonaguni Island and complete the attack quietly. Several local conflicts that have occurred around the world in recent years have shown that as long as it is used properly, the drone will become a powerful equipment to counter the air defense system!
The People's Liberation Army currently has a huge military advantage over the Taiwan Provincial Army and the Japanese Self-Defense Force. The People's Liberation Army has built a mature anti-access/area denial combat system , which can respond to any opponent's provocation. Japan's attempt to deploy some military facilities on islands such as Yonaguni to interfere in the Taiwan Strait issue is tantamount to mantis trying to intervene in the Taiwan Strait issue!
