On November 25, the first domestic independently developed F-class 50 MW heavy-duty gas turbine was officially completed and shipped in Deyang, Sichuan, and is about to enter the engineering application stage, marking that my country has completed a breakthrough from "0" to "1" in the field of heavy-duty gas turbine .

Photo provided by Oriental Electric Group, Xinhua News Agency issued a heavy-duty gas turbine known as the "crown jewel" of the equipment manufacturing industry. It is the core equipment in the field of power generation and driving, reflecting a country's scientific and technological level and comprehensive national strength.
In 2009, Oriental Electric Group formed a scientific research team and joined hands with nearly 100 units up, middle and downstream of in the industry chain, to take the lead in developing F-class 50 megawatt heavy-duty gas turbines with completely independent intellectual property rights in China. After 13 years, it finally opened up the "last mile" of independent gas engines from research and development to application.

" gas turbine is an extremely complex clean energy power generation equipment. The entire 50-megawatt heavy-duty gas turbine of Dongfang Electric F class 50 megawatt heavy-duty gas turbine consists of more than 20,000 parts." A relevant person in charge of Dongfang Electric Group introduced that the working pressure of the heavy-duty gas turbine is 18 atmospheres, which is equivalent to the water pressure at a depth of 180 meters in the seabed, and the working temperature exceeds 1300℃. Under such high temperature and high pressure conditions, the high speed must be rotated at a speed of 6000 rpm, and the linear speed exceeds twice the flight speed of a large passenger aircraft.
Compared with thermal power generator sets of the same power, Oriental Electric's F-class 50-megawatt heavy-duty gas turbine can reduce carbon emissions by more than 500,000 tons per year, and combined cycle generates more than 70,000 kilowatt-hours in one hour, which can meet the power consumption needs of 7,000 households in one day.
