According to insiders close to Serbia , Air Serbia is expanding their Airbus A330-200 fleet and using the new aircraft on the newly opened route from Belgrade, Serbia to China.

Starting from October this year, Air Serbia’s fleet will be enriched, and the wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft will join Air Serbia. In addition to expanding its fleet, Air Serbia has also decided to launch new flights to China from October and is still waiting for approval letters from relevant authorities.

The decision was made after Hainan Airlines announced that it would resume flights on the route from Beijing, China to Belgrade, Serbia this weekend on July 16.

This is the first overseas long-distance direct flight expansion for Air Serbia since it launched a new flight on the Belgrade, Serbia, to New York, USA route in 2016.

According to the bilateral air transport agreement signed between Serbia and China in 2016, Air Serbia must submit a flight application to the Civil Aviation Administration of China at least 60 days before the flight. The specific route choice of Shanghai or Beijing has still not been decided.
