According to Fox News reported on 25, local police said that on the morning of Christmas Day, three power stations in Tacoma, Washington, USA were forcibly broken into and damaged, causing about 14,000 users to lose power.
reported that at about 5:30 a.m. on the 25th, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received a report that someone had forced his way into a substation of the Tacoma Public Utilities Company on 46th Avenue.
Police released a statement saying that when officers arrived at the scene, they found evidence of someone breaking into the fenced area. While the intruders did not take anything from the substation site, the equipment was damaged, causing a power outage in the area, police said.
Later that morning, another Tacoma Utilities substation located on 224th Street was also forcibly broken into, and the equipment was damaged. No items were stolen at the scene.

At 11:25 a.m., Puget Sound Energy Company reported the third case of forced entry into a local substation, and equipment there was also damaged.
Due to these three cases, approximately 14,000 users in Tacoma began experiencing power outages on the morning of the 25th.
According to information from the "American Power Outage" website, as of 7 p.m. on the 25th, 2,084 Tacoma Public Utility Company users and 1,365 Puget Sound Energy Company users were still affected by the power outage.
Fox News said that these three cases are still under investigation and no suspects have been arrested yet.
