The government calls for the implementation of control measures on Chinese travelers
According to the latest news, in order to respond to the outbreak of the new coronavirus in China and prevent Chinese travelers from arriving at international airports every day, French President Emmanuel Macron asked the government to take appropriate protective measures to protect the French. The government therefore decided to issue a warning to airlines and airports, requiring them to implement travel control measures for passengers arriving from China.

It is reported that the Ministry of Transport has asked French airlines and airports to prepare test inspection equipment to take immediate action after a decision is made at the EU level. The 27 EU countries will discuss this via video conference on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the United States joined Italy, Japan, India and Malaysia in imposing restrictions on travelers from China, including requiring negative test results.
Beijing has expressed anger at Western media's "hypocrisy, slander and political manipulation" of China's health policies . A spokesman for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Wednesday, " At present, the epidemic situation in China is completely predictable and under control."
Experts believe border controls are unnecessary
Although people have begun to worry about the emergence of new mutated viruses due to the recent outbreak of the new coronavirus in China due to the lifting of relevant new crown restrictions in China, immunologist Brigitte Otland, chairman of the Committee for Monitoring and Forecasting of Health Risks (Covars) Autran said on Thursday that there was no "immediate" need to restore French border controls.

She said in an interview with Radio classique: "From a scientific point of view, there is currently no reason to implement special control measures at the border. But of course, the situation may almost change day by day." She also added that the current situation is "under control" and there is currently no scientific information showing the emergence of worrying new mutant viruses in China.
