On December 11th local time, Turkish President Erdogan held telephone conferences with Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky on issues such as the food corridor, the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
Turkish and Russia discussed in detail the issue of expanding bilateral cooperation in multiple areas, including record growth in bilateral trade volume. The two sides emphasized the importance of cooperation projects in the energy field, especially cooperation in the natural gas field.
Putin conducted a principled assessment of the current situation in Ukraine. In addition, the resolution of the Syrian problem was also discussed, including compliance with the MOU reached by Russia and Turkey in 2019 in Sochi . Erdogan also expressed his wish to Putin that the Russian-Ukrainian conflict ended "as soon as possible".
On the same day, Turkish President Erdogan spoke on the phone with Ukrainian President Zelensky. The two sides discussed the latest developments in the current situation in Russia and Ukraine.
According to a statement issued by the Turkish Presidential Office News Agency, Erdogan said Turkey will continue to work hard to meet the humanitarian aid needs of the Ukrainian people during the difficult winter, and said the Black Sea port agricultural product outbound agreement can be expanded, including different food and other commodities. Erdogan also said he hopes to find a solution to the problem of Zaporo thermonuclear power plant.
