Xu Qiaoxin said in a Taiwan media program on the 31st that Chen Jianren’s chances of “forming a cabinet” are very high. Because if Su Zhenchang is not replaced, the DPP will really bleed into a river of blood in 2024. Even Japanese scholar Ogasawara Yoshiyuki once said that 2022 is not just about whether the nominees are well or poorly selected.
Xu Qiaoxin went on to point out that this is a vote of no confidence by the Taiwanese people on what the DPP authorities have done from 2020 to 2022. After the DPP's defeat, Tsai Ing-wen was protected by her four-year term. No one would ask her to step down. However, the administrative team is different and must bear political responsibility. Therefore, not only Su Zhenchang has to step down, but all other members of the administrative team must also come in and out together, and the "cabinet formation" must be reorganized to avoid giving a negative impression.
Xu Qiaoxin pointed out that what the DPP does is that if someone loses an election, they will get a bigger official position after they come back, which makes everyone very intolerable. If he loses in the election, it means that the Taiwanese people don't like this person. How can he return to the "cabinet" of the Democratic Progressive Party and take up a high-ranking official position, with a higher position than the county mayor, but become a "big minister".
