Cheng Kai, male, born in February 1975, a member of the Communist Party of China, participated in public security work in May 1998, was the deputy director of Huangmei Police Station of Huangmei County Public Security Bureau and a fourth-level police chief. In the 24 years since he became a police officer, Comrade Cheng Kai has never forgotten his original aspiration and mission in mind, and has always been on the front line of investigation and case handling. He has made extraordinary achievements in his ordinary position. He has won 63 third-class merits in personal and commended twice. He has been awarded the honors of "Expert in Criminal Investigation and Case Solving Positions in Public Security Organs in the Province", "Advanced Individual in Joint Defense of Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui Provinces", and "Top Ten Experts in the Third Case Solving" of the City's Public Security Organs. On the morning of September 16, 2022, Comrade Cheng Kai was driven by a suspect while leading a team to arrest him in Xinzhou, Wuhan. In a critical moment, Comrade Cheng Kai tried his best to push his comrades away, but unfortunately he was defeated by a car and died heroically at the age of 47.

In March 2017, a sudden case of provoking trouble in Huangmei County was aroused widespread attention from the society. Comrade Cheng Kai was ordered to take over the investigation and handling of the case. In order to solve the case in a timely manner, Comrade Cheng Kai led a special team to investigate and arrest for three consecutive days without sleeping for three consecutive days, and successfully arrested all five people involved. During the 2018 campaign against organized crime, Comrade Cheng Kai took the lead in hosting the case of a gang of gangs of Wang, a gang in Konglong Town, Huangmei County. In order to obtain the evidence of the gang's crime, he lived and fed and lived at the case handling point, and repeatedly investigated and compared the relevant clues and evidence, linking one by one, forming a complete chain of evidence, and finally captured the gang in one go, and 36 gang members were all sent to the trial seat. The most common saying he says is "I will go first when arresting!" Only by consciously taking responsibility in daily work can he have a great choice when facing the test of life and death. When arresting the vicious and criminal suspect of car smashing and theft, he rushed up again with this professional spirit and fulfilled the sacred duty of a people's policeman for the last time with his life. He squatted for three days and three nights in a row and successfully arrested all three suspects. After a series of car smashing and theft cases occurred in Huangmei urban area, Comrade Cheng Kai took the initiative to volunteer to return to Huangmei, and squatted day and night with his colleagues and repeatedly investigated the suspect day and night. On the evening of September 15, Comrade Cheng Kai led the team to set off overnight and embarked on the journey of arresting the suspect. Unexpectedly, this departure became a farewell...
