On October 19, the first Qingdao gas heating industry "Energy Cup" Vocational Skills Competition jointly organized by Qingdao Municipal Urban Management Bureau, Qingdao Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and Municipal Youth League Committee officially kicked off. This vocational skills competition is specifically organized by Qingdao Energy Group and the Municipal Gas and Heat Association. It is understood that the competition focuses on professional theory and operational skills, based on management and service actual scenarios, and is divided into two links: theoretical assessment and practical assessment. On October 17, 445 contestants conducted theoretical assessments in different examination rooms and at different times. Only by passing the theoretical assessment results can they enter the practical skills assessment. The practical assessment will last for three days from today to October 21st. It will be divided into two competition areas: "gas" and "heating", with five types of occupations, including gas storage and transport workers in the gas competition area, gas supply waiters, oil and gas power station operators, heating plumbers and call center waiters in the heating competition area. The referees in the practical assessment will rate the participants' practical results based on the scoring standards and announce the results on the spot. According to the competition plan, each district (city) and unit passed extensive mobilization, layer-by-layer selection, and after theoretical assessment, 315 contestants from 7 district (city) and 28 units entered today's practical assessment and conducted a fierce and intense skill competition.
In order to commend the advanced, this skill competition has group awards and individual awards. There is one first prize, two second prizes and three third prizes in the group award. There are 3 individual awards, and the top three contestants in each type of work were awarded the titles of "Qingdao Gas Industry Technical Expert" and "Qingdao Heating Industry Technical Expert"; for the contestants with the first place in the total scores of each type in the two sub-competition areas, the "Qingdao May 1st Labor Medal" shall be submitted to the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions according to the prescribed procedures; for the one contestant who has the leading scores of each type and meets the conditions, the "Qingdao Outstanding Youth Job Expert" shall be submitted to the Municipal Youth League Committee according to the prescribed procedures. At the same time, each district (city) and enterprise unit will give other commendations and rewards to contestants with excellent performance in their units in accordance with regulations based on actual conditions.
