According to TASS , Kazakhstan’s Minister of Internal Affairs Malat Akhmazanov said that about 8,000-9,000 Russian citizens enter the country every day, leaving 10,000 to 11,000 people.
"We are back to the past. Russian citizens leave Kazakhstan every day more than those who enter Kazakhstan," Akhmazanov concluded.
According to earlier reports, the Kazakhstan authorities have opened up a green channel for their citizens on the Kazakhstan border.
Before this, President Tokayev also ordered the strengthening of immigration management due to the large influx of Russians.
After Russia announced its mobilization, traffic jams were formed at border checkpoints bordering Kazakhstan. It is understood that since September 21, about 98,000 Russians have entered Kazakhstan. During the same period, 64,000 Russian citizens left.
Since April 1, 2022, 93,000 Russians have obtained personal identification codes and 4,271 people have obtained residence permits, of which Kazakhs are 4,116. 441 Russian citizens applied for naturalization, of which 117 are Kazakhs.
