Ukrainian President Zelensky said on social media that Kiev 's position will not change due to the announcement of referendums to join Russia in Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republic and Zaporoze and Khlsong regions. He said: "Our position is clear and well-known. This is the only thing we should care about. It is not what the voices are in other places, but what our mission is."
According to Russian News Agency local time on September 20, the referendum on Donetsk, Luhansk , Zaporoze and Khlsson regions to Russia will be held from September 23 to 27.

Zaborje Region Chief Executive Yevgeny Balitsky ordered that the referendum in Zaporoze region will determine the issue of the withdrawal of the region from Ukraine , the establishment of the region as an independent country, and the participation of the region in the Russian Federation.
Balitsky wrote: "Leave the following questions to Referendum : Do you agree with the withdrawal of the Zaporoze region from Ukraine, the establishment of an independent country in the Zaporoze region and joining Russia as the subject of the Russian Federation?"
According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, the referendum in the Zaporoze region will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the laws of the Russian Federation, guided by the experience of Crimea .
The four regions that will hold a referendum are located in the eastern and southern Ukraine
Russian News Agency said that some people emphasized that such a solution will protect territorial security and restore historical justice.
In mid-February this year, leaders of Donetsk and Lugansk demanded that Russia recognize their sovereignty as independent states. Russian President Putin signed the relevant decree on February 21.
