In addition, if any advertising is found to contain false or deceptive advertising, the merchant involved will be punished with a jail term of up to 3 years or a fine of not more than 30,000 baht, or both.
Herbal medicines and related products containing cannabis ingredients must obtain permission from the Thai Food and Drug Administration before advertising. False, exaggerated or misleading publicity is not allowed. Once found, the relevant merchants will be sentenced to up to 1 year in prison or not more than A fine of 100,000 baht, or both.
As for cosmetics advertising, no license is required, but false, exaggerated or misleading publicity is also prohibited. Otherwise, the relevant merchants will be punished with up to 1 year in prison or a fine of not more than 100,000 baht, or both.
