João Baptista Borges, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Angola, and his delegation attended the completion ceremony of the Cabinda Water Supply Project in Angola.

"Thank you to the Chinese enterprises for playing a major role in the construction of the project!" At the completion ceremony, Cabinda Magus Alexandre Nongka, Governor of Cabinda Province, said that the water supply project is of great significance and far-reaching impact to Cabinda Province. With the joint efforts of Chinese builders and local teams, the project was successfully completed, which will greatly alleviate the problem of residents' domestic water shortage.

João Baptista Borges, Angola’s Minister of Energy and Water, said that the completion of the project is a major achievement at present. Under the efficient operation of the project, Cabinda can be guaranteed to have an uninterrupted supply of tap water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During the operation of the project, it will also produce greater economic benefits and actively promote local industry, education, culture, port transportation and other industries.

It is understood that this project is Angola’s largest investment in people’s livelihood projects in Cabinda Province. It mainly includes water storage, water distribution and water supply in Cabinda and Landana urban areas. There are about 24,000 households with entrances and courtyards, and 74 centralized water supply points. Covering 92% of the population living area in Cabinda Province, Angola.
