Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense is recruiting an increasing number of civilians with no experience in military service. Issue summonses on the streets and even search for conscripts everywhere, actively looking for evaders. Women aged 18 to 60 who are not on the military register face fines. RT spoke to an employee of the Ukrainian Military Registration and Enlistment Office and the head of military service who was hidden from the authorities.
The anger of Ukrainian citizens was also caused by the tactics of the Military Registration and Enlistment Office. Their employees now don't always take home summonses like they did in the past, and people of military age are often caught on the streets, in cafes, entertainment venues and on beaches. When Ukrainian lawyers began to study the legality of such actions, it turned out that the law had been corrected and nothing illegal was committed.
"In Ukraine, during the general mobilization, summonses can be delivered in person anywhere: on the streets, at checkpoints and at work," Kiev lawyer Maxim Lapshin explained the situation on social networks.
