He has followed Chen Shui-bian and Lee Teng-hui one after another, and has also been a senior member of the Democratic Progressive Party and a die-hard supporter of "Taiwan independence". Now, he has become the most "stubborn" "unification pioneer" in the eyes of the "Taiwan independence" forces. He is Xu Zhaoxiong, chairman of Taiwan’s China United Party.

23 was elected as a member of parliament. He was forced to "exile overseas" because of his anti- Chiang Kai-shek dictatorship
1941, Xu Zhaoxiong was born in a wealthy family in Tainan County during the Japanese occupation. Originally from Xiamen Tong'an County , his ancestors came to Taiwan with Zheng Chenggong.
Xu Zhaoxiong has received traditional Chinese culture education since he was a child, and he also saw Western democracy and freedom from books. Since then, the desire for democracy and freedom has become a pursuit within this young man.
However, Xu Zhaoxiong's youth was in the process of Chiang Kai-shek's reactionary rule in Taiwan.
The long-term dictatorship and high-pressure policies of Chiang Kai-shek's group have caused the Taiwanese people to feel rebellious. During that period, active "out-party movements" appeared among the people, especially in Taiwan in central and southern China.

After graduating from high school, Xu Zhaoxiong was admitted to join the Kuomintang army and actively participated in the "out-of-party movement" after retirement. At the age of 23, he joined the Tainan County Councillor election as a non-party member and was finally elected as a Tainan County Councilor as a non-party member. It caused a lot of sensation in Tainan and even the entire Taiwan. Xu Zhaoxiong's election greatly encouraged the morale of the "no-party movement", which also aroused the attention and vigilance of the Chiang Kai-shek administration.
plus he was dissatisfied with the dictatorship of Chiang Kai-shek's group and the corruption of the Kuomintang bureaucratic system at that time, Xu Zhaoxiong, who had just been elected as a member of parliament, had no choice but to be in line with the corrupt bureaucratic system at that time in his style of political investigation. In particular, he directly participated in the exposure of corruption problems in the fields of local water conservancy, highway and bridge construction projects, which made him soon become one of the important local politicians that the Kuomintang authorities and interest groups were about to overthrow. The persecution against him soon began to take place on the charge of his participation in the "Taiwan independence" activities.
After the "insider" reminded in advance, Xu Zhaoxiong hurriedly left Taiwan and went to the United States in 1970. That year he was also on the "blacklist" of dangerous elements in the Taiwan authorities, which means that he will be listed as a person not allowed to return to Taiwan.
because of hating the Kuomintang, he followed Chen Shui-bian and Lee Teng-hui. After embarking on the road of "Taiwan independence", Xu Zhaoxiong first went to , , to employed a bachelor's degree, and after graduation, he went to PCU University in the United States to pursue a master's degree.
Xu Zhaoxiong, who cannot return to Taiwan, can only stay in the United States to develop after graduating from a master's degree. From working first to developing small real estate, and then to working in the hotel industry. But no matter how busy he is, his attention to politics has not decreased due to "exile". He always pays attention to the situation on Taiwan.
cannot go back to Taiwan, the young Xu Zhaoxiong once turned his attention to mainland China . Although he has never had any intersection with the mainland, in his heart, in the textbooks he has read since childhood, the mainland is part of his country. Under the arrangement of a friend, in 1974, Xu Zhaoxiong came from the United States to the mainland of the motherland with some indescribable expectations, but soon returned to the United States. Xu Zhaoxiong said that the "Cultural Revolution" in the mainland was in full swing at that time, and there were chaos everywhere, and he didn't know what he could do in the mainland.
As the Taiwan authorities lifted the party ban and reported the ban and introduced the Western system, on July 15, 1987, the Chiang Ching-kuo authorities announced the abolition of the "martial law order" that had been implemented for 38 years. In 1990, relevant Taiwan departments also abolished the "blacklist" that was banned from returning to Taiwan. That year, Xu Zhaoxiong handled the American business and took his family back to his hometown Tainan County, which he had been away for 20 years.
Xu Zhaoxiong, who returned to Taiwan, thought of leaving his hometown for 20 years due to the persecution of the Kuomintang, and the hatred for the Kuomintang was ignited in his heart. In addition, some people in the Democratic Progressive Party continued to do their work, Xu Zhaoxiong joined the Democratic Progressive Party camp in 1993.
As soon as he joined the DPP, Xu Zhaoxiong paid money and efforts, and even shouted "To promote Taiwan's independence." In Xu Zhaoxiong's view, it was impossible for Taiwan to counterattack the mainland at that time, and Taiwan's economic development was already the first of the "Four Asian Tigers", and GDP accounted for about 40% of the entire mainland's GDP."Since it is impossible to unify the mainland, no one can care about anyone between Taiwan and the mainland, then just be independent." At this time, Xu Zhaoxiong's position had been "green", and pursuing "Taiwan independence" became his ideal goal.

Because of his experience as a member of parliament, Xu Zhaoxiong understood that if the DPP wants to achieve "Taiwan independence", it must enter the "Legislative Yuan", parliament, and various public power organs. However, because the DPP is a political party born in the grassroots class, it basically lacks organizational structures in various places, and there is no strong financial support, and Taiwan’s election campaign is fighting “organizational war” and “fund war”. In order to fully support the DPP, Xu Zhaoxiong paid his own money to prepare for the establishment of the first largest grassroots party department in Tainan County, Yongkang City Party Department. The party department had more than 1,000 party members before the DPP had grown.
Xu Zhaoxiong has experience in fighting elections. In order to promote "Taiwan independence", he spent four years as chairman of the Yongkang Party Department of Tainan County, using his political experience in the process of the election of leaders in Taiwan, the re-election of "legislators" and county mayors, and the re-election of county councillors and mayors. When Taiwan's first political party rotation was replaced in 2000, he assisted Chen Shui-bian. As a result, Chen Shui-bian won more than 50,000 votes in Yongkang alone, becoming the largest regional vote in Taiwan. In addition to Chen Shui-bian, Xu Zhaoxiong also assisted in the election of the Democratic Progressive Party to nominate "legislators", allowing a large number of "Taiwan independence" elements to enter Taiwan's public power organs.
It can be said that Xu Zhaoxiong has spared no effort in cultivating and helping the development of "Taiwan independence" forces.
is against "de-Sinicization" and "Taiwan independence"
In 2007, Chen Shui-bian has appointed a large number of corrupt officials since he was re-elected, and many people even wantonly undermine the "law and discipline", which has caused a million-dollar "red shirts" attack organized by former DPP Chairman Shi Mingde. In addition, after Chen Shui-bian took office, he revised textbooks extensively and engaged in "de-Sinicization" and separated Taiwanese people from Chinese people, which aroused Xu Zhaoxiong's dissatisfaction.
Xu Zhaoxiong said that since his ancestors came to Taiwan from Fujian, from studying in Taiwan to being forced to "exile" to the United States, and then returning to Taiwan, there is no day that he will think he is not Chinese.
plus some people in the Chen Shui-bian administration have "unsighted" and are carrying the "bank of democracy" against democracy. They have deviated from the original intention of the Democratic Progressive Party to create the party, which has aroused public grievances. To this end, Xu Zhaoxiong and the DPP are gradually drifting away.
In 2006, at the invitation of the "Taiwan League Party", Xu Zhaoxiong left the Democratic Progressive Party and became the chairman of the Tainan Municipal Committee of the "Taiwan League Party" and served as the president of the Tainan General Committee of the "Friends of Lee Teng-hui" Association. However, after joining the "Taiwan League Party", Xu Zhaoxiong discovered that the party is actually the same as the DPP, and they also want to separate Taiwan's history of the Chinese nation.
So, in 2010 he withdrew from the "Taiwan League Party".
The mainland's system of "concentrating efforts to accomplish major tasks" subverts his concept of "Taiwan independence"
Leaving the "Taiwan League Party", in addition to not agreeing that it is the same as the "de-Sinicization" in national identity as the DPP, it is actually related to a trip to Xu Zhaoxiong to Guangzhou in 2010.

That year, although the curtain of great exchanges and opening up between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait had been opened. But for Taiwan Island, especially the "Taiwan independence" camp, the "anti-China" and "fear of the mainland" sentiment has not only not weakened, but has increased. Xu Zhaoxiong, who is also an important member of the "Taiwan League Party", embarked on a journey to mainland China with a nervous mood with a nervous mood.
To be cautious, he first went from Taiwan to Macau to inspect the development of Macau after his return, and then went from Macau to Guangzhou.
That time, he ran to half of Guangdong Province and boarded a mainland high-speed train.
"I saw the speed of Guangdong and the construction of Guangzhou. Not to mention Taiwan, even the United States and Japan cannot catch up with it." Xu Zhaoxiong said that he gave up the idea of "independence" for decades, and "unification" occupied his thoughts.

How can the "independence" that has been pursued for decades quickly become "unification" after a short investigation?
Xu Zhaoxiong's explanation is that since he was allowed to return to Taiwan in 1990, he saw that Taiwan's development at that time was full of vitality and vitality. Whether it was industrial development on the island or municipal construction in counties, cities and towns, it was no worse than that in the United States or Japan."But in the 20 years after 1990, especially after Taiwan introduced the Western electoral system in 2000, the first political party rotation occurred on the island, and the Kuomintang and the Democratic Party took turns to take charge. Since then, the political parties have been fighting fiercely, and the entire society has stagnated." Xu Zhaoxiong said that in contrast, after Macau's return, its economy grew exponentially and its citizens' income has doubled.
"Combining the development of Guangzhou and Macau, and looking back at the development period of Taiwan (around 1970 to 1995), we found that there is a rule: whether it is mainland China or Taiwan, the best development stage seems to be related to one-party rule." Xu Zhaoxiong believes that the rapid development of the mainland and the stability of society should be the reasons for the advantages of the mainland's party system.
"The mainland did not follow the path of multi-party system in the West, but chose the Communist Party of China to govern with one party, but at the same time it established its own unique party system - a multi-party cooperation and political consultation system led by the Communist Party of China." Xu Zhaoxiong said that such a new type of party system can ensure that the mainland will not have any constraining between parties in major decisions like Western countries in the mainland, and at the same time, it guarantees the scientific nature of decision-making and the breadth of public opinion through political consultation.
"A feature of such a new party system is reflected in decision-making, which is a system that can ensure that the mainland can concentrate its efforts on major projects to accomplish major tasks." Xu Zhaoxiong believes that whether it is the Shenzhou flying in the sky, the modification and manufacturing of the first aircraft carrier, whether it is the "South-to-North Water Diversion" that amazed the world, or the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, it reflects the advantages of the mainland's system to create China's speed and China's road today.

"Looking at Guangzhou's modern industry, skyscrapers rising from the ground, merchants from all over the world shuttled between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, at that moment, I felt that 'Taiwan independence' is a science fiction story, not even a dream. I feel that the dream of 'Taiwan independence' I pursue is shattered, and I began my own reflection." Xu Zhaoxiong said that with the development of China's economy, science and technology and military, internationally, China's rise has been accepted by more and more countries, and China's international status has continued to rise. "There is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is part of China" has become a consensus among the international community. Looking back at the mainland, he lamented that Taiwan has no capital or conditions for "independence" at all; the slogan of "Taiwan independence" is just an election slogan used by speculative politicians. If "Taiwan independence" is adhered to, Taiwan can only enter a dead end that cannot be achieved.
Five-star red flag rose on Tainan's "green space"
Xu Zhaoxiong's trip to Guangzhou violated the cross-strait policy of the "Taiwan League Party" and the Central Committee of the Taiwan League Party intends to punish him. However, before the "Taiwan League Party" was punished, he voluntarily resigned and soon established the United Party of China, whose purpose was to promote unification.
In the past 10 years after his trip to Guangzhou, Xu Zhaoxiong has only done two things in cross-strait relations: one is to organize "hardcore" supporters of the Democratic Progressive Party in central and southern Taiwan to visit various parts of the mainland at his own expense; the other is to connect the unified political parties and groups on the island to jointly curb "Taiwan independence", and publicize the benefits of national unification and "one country, two systems" on the island.
Since 2011, Xu Zhaoxiong has organized 14 batches of about 500 people from southern Taiwan to visit the mainland at all costs. "Because they are all die-hard supporters of the DPP and 'Taiwan independence', many people were unwilling to go at the beginning." Talking about the scene when they organized their visit to the mainland for the first time, Xu Zhaoxiong used "difficulty" to describe it. "It is not difficult to bear the full flight tickets, accommodation, catering, etc. of each of them. The most difficult thing is ideological mobilization."
Xu Zhaoxiong said that for those friends who were unwilling to visit the mainland at the beginning, he understood it with empathy - after all, in Taiwan, the education they received since childhood was the ugliness of the Kuomintang and "anti-communist" education of the Kuomintang. Most Taiwanese people who have never been to the mainland have more or less "afraid of the Communist Party" and "afraid of the Communist Party". In addition, there is organizational pressure from the DPP, so a lot of work is required to organize a visit.
But what made Xu Zhaoxiong happy was that among the nearly 500 people who participated in the dozen or so visiting groups he organized, nearly 100 people later came to the mainland themselves; some people had never been to the mainland again due to economic or physical reasons, but they mobilized relatives and friends to visit the mainland, among which was a friend named Xu of Xu.The friend surnamed Xu turned out to be a firm supporter of "Taiwan independence". He once said that "I will never go to the mainland until I die." But after coming to the mainland, he actually took the initiative to mobilize his nieces and nephew to study in the mainland.
"You can't be impatient for Taiwan, you must do ideological work." Xu Zhaoxiong told the reporter of the People's Political Consultative Conference Daily that although the southern Taiwan region is the base camp of "Taiwan independence", we must also see that almost all the people in southern Taiwan are from the mainland. The "Taiwan independence" concept formed in their hearts is not native to them, but people like Shi Ming, who just passed away, and those who returned from Japan. In the 1990s, they seized the fact that farmers in central and southern Taiwan had little knowledge and television were not popular, and the people living in southern Taiwan were all Fujian and Guangdong who came from the mainland during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Because the Qing government ceded Taiwan to Japan and had resentment towards the motherland, they set up illegal underground radio stations on a large scale in the vast southern Taiwan region, advocated "Taiwan independence", and finally deepened the concept of "Taiwan independence" into the grassroots.
Therefore, Xu Zhaoxiong believes that the first thing to solve the Taiwan issue is to untie the knots of Taiwanese compatriots, and an important way to untie each other is to interact with each other: let those who are unfamiliar with the mainland "fear of the mainland" and "fear of the Communist Party" go to the mainland more to see the development of mainland society, feel the achievements of mainland politics, economy, and science and technology, and enhance their national pride. Through our own eyes, we expose the lies spread by those "Taiwan independence" elements.
Promoting unification must be clear-cut. Xu Zhaoxiong said that in order to promote traditional Chinese, he raised the five-star red flag at the Tainan Party Committee. Such actions naturally caused uneasiness among the DPP authorities and "discomfort" among the "Taiwan independence" elements. Not only were the banners often damaged, but officials from Tainan Gendarmerie, police station, and Investigation Bureau also kept coming to the door to "concern" and even intimidate and threaten. However, Xu Zhaoxiong's response was, "What's the terrible thing about raising your own national flag on your own land in China?"
