This weekend, the 3-kilometer-long Mingzhu Lake Road has become a popular check-in point for tourists to visit Chongming . As the autumn becomes deeper, more than 3,000 North American red maple plants planted beside Mingzhu Lake Road gradually turn red, and is decorated with tree plants such as gorgeous crabapple , red-leaf heather , and rosy wood balls. It is like a ribbon falling from the ecological green island, which is beautiful. In addition, the pink grass and fir forests in the Pearl Lake Scenic Area of Xisha are also ushering in the best viewing season, forming a beautiful autumn picture with North American red maple.
Mingzhu Lake Road is the main road connecting the Xisha Mingzhu Lake Scenic Area in Chongxi. Thousands of North American red maple plants on both sides and in the middle of the road. In recent days, Shencheng has ushered in a cool and refreshing autumn weather. Against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, the red, yellow and green maple leaves on the side of Mingzhu Lake Road seem to have overturned the palette. With a casual shot, it is a blockbuster with strong autumn atmosphere, attracting many citizens and tourists to take photos here.
North American red maple is gradually turning red
Chongming's beautiful autumn colors are far more than that. Ms. Xu, who lives in Xuhui , came to the Xisha Pearl Lake Scenic Area with a group of friends last weekend and encountered a large piece of pink and messy grass. She took many photos here: behind her are blue sky, white clouds and green trees, and in front of her are the smiling faces of girls, with bright colors. In the evening, they also watched the sunset by the Pearl Lake in the scenic area. Ms. Xu sighed: "It's so beautiful, this is such a treasure park!"
These beautiful scenery are not natural. Xu Zhong, secretary of the Party Branch of the Pearl Lake Scenic Area in Xisha, introduced that the batch of pink grass that Ms. Xu and her friends had planted four years ago, covering an area of 25 acres, with a total of about 300,000 plants. After years of careful maintenance of the scenic spot, this batch of pink and chaotic grass has entered the "high flowering period" this year and has ushered in the best viewing season recently.

In addition to the two autumn plants of North America red maple and Pearl Lake, the fir forests mainly composed of pool fir , Zhongshan fir and fallen feather fir have also entered the color change season. Visitors can take the electric boat to go deep into the forest with red, yellow and green colors intertwined with red, yellow and green colors, and can also observe the active egrets and small cypresses.
Late autumn and winter are approaching, and Xu Zhong is still calculating the day when the first batch of migratory birds come to the scenic spot to spend the winter. "The best bird watching season is coming. In addition to egrets and tiny, cormorant and Chinese merganser will also fly in one after another." Xu Zhong said that from November 24 to 27 of each year, the cormorant on the East Asia-Australia migration line arrives at the Pearl Lake Scenic Area in Xisha. To this end, a batch of perched piles were specially set up on Pearl Lake for these cormorants so that they could perch on wooden piles exposed to the water. Last year, hundreds of cormorants came here to settle down, and their appearance also attracted a group of bird watching and photography enthusiasts to observe and take photos.

In recent years, after two phases of large-scale ecological restoration and careful patrol, the ecology in the Xisha Pearl Lake Scenic Area is getting better and better. Fish, shrimp, crab, snails and other aquatic animals, as well as cormorants, wild ducks, snipers, Zhendan Crow and other birds are frequent visitors here. At present, the scenic spot is committed to creating a national 5A-level scenic spot on this basis.
A few days ago, the scenic spot just conducted a training for employees on standardized etiquette services, hoping to continue to improve the service level in the process of striving to create a 5A scenic spot to better improve the experience and satisfaction of tourists. This year, the Xisha Mingzhu Lake Scenic Area has also taken a series of measures to improve the comprehensive level of the scenic area. For example, 2,000 acres of forest land beside Mingzhu Lake are cultivated, and the dead branches and leaves are pruned and crushed, and covered on the forest land to promote plant growth; a batch of small flower landscapes are added near the entrance of Mingzhu Lake Park, parking lots, and tourist toilets to carefully maintain several large lawns in the scenic area to facilitate tourists to camp and relax; a batch of newly added seats and tents also allow tourists to sit down and take a nap at any time.
