The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) learned from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation that the first 120 standard container pure electric inland river container ship in the country, "Jiangyuan Lily" ship, set off from Taicang Port Wharf on October 10 and arrived at the port Wharf in Suzhou Industrial Park. The completion of its maiden voyage marks the beginning of the "pure electric era" of inland river transportation in Jiangsu.
According to reports, the "Jiangyuan Lily" wheel project was jointly promoted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation and the Provincial Port Group. Hull construction, ship inspection, battery management system research and development, assembly integration, product certification , etc. were all completed by units within the province. The wheel has a total length of 79.92 meters, a width of 12.66 meters, a speed of 17 kilometers per hour, and a range of 220 kilometers. It uses the high-safety lithium iron phosphate battery as the energy carrier. Three 20-foot standard container high-box size marine power battery containers are assembled at the stern, using the "plug-and-play" battery swap mode, and only takes 20 minutes to charge. It is estimated that the ship can replace fuel consumption by about 160 tons per year when it is operating normally, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 500 tons.
