"July and Ansheng" describes the growth story of two girls with different personalities, the gentle and obedient "July" and the rebellious and unruly "Ansheng", who have been with each other since they were 13 years old. Zeng Guoxiang talked about the origin of filming "July and Ansheng", which was first because his father Zeng Zhiwei recommended this story to him, and he had already recommended himself to Chen Kexin to play the male protagonist "Jia Ming" who fell in love with two girls. Unexpectedly, Chen Kexin replied directly: "You must not be a big shot when you act." It was quite hilarious.

Regarding the relationship between July and An Sheng in the movie, Chen Kexin said that the emotions of the two girls far exceed the so-called "best friends" and even "lovers". They are the people who understand each other the best in the world, and the English word "Soulmate" is the most appropriate to describe it. The film was released in mainland China on September 14, but it has not yet appeared in Taiwan due to quotas. However, the film has been registered for the 2016 Golden Horse Awards and won the award.
