As a modern means of transportation, the subway is satisfying people's daily travel, but it is also changing people's lifestyles.

Currently, the daily operation service time is 17 hours and 50 minutes, ranking second in northern subway cities; the urban public transportation sharing rate of rail transit reached 37%, playing a huge role in relieving congestion and ensuring smoothness in the city.On July 28 this year, the mobilization meeting for the third phase of the construction planning project of Xi'an Rail Transit was held. The third phase of the project contains 7 lines, with a total length of 150 kilometers and a total investment of 96.85 billion yuan. This is the key to the rapid networking of Xi'an rail transit, which is of great significance to promoting the integration process of Xi'an, accelerating the development of the Greater Xi'an metropolitan area, improving the urban comprehensive transportation system, and accelerating the construction of a national central city. Before the end of this year, Xi'an rail transit will form a high-intensity and large-scale construction situation of "6 lines are launched together and 9 lines are built together", and Xi'an Metro has undoubtedly ushered in a new journey.
Fast speed and longer operation time
The subway speeds up the city by shifting gears and speeding up

At the same time, Xi'an Metro has also received widespread praise for delayed service and safe operation. As of August 31, 2019, Xi'an Metro has had a total of 2,907 days of safe operation. The daily operating time of Line 2 is 15 hours in the early stage of opening, and the current operating time is 17 hours and 50 minutes.
Behind this, the silent efforts of subway people are inseparable. Zhang Kankan, a department of Xi'an Metro Dispatch, introduced that in response to the actual situation of increasing passenger flow and limited transportation capacity, technicians actively carry out special research on improving efficiency, including research on improving reversing efficiency, research on improving vehicle delivery efficiency in the field section, and solutions for passenger flow pressure during peak hours of Line 3.

In order to further improve subway operation services and meet the travel needs of different citizens and passengers, in August this year, Xi'an Metro piloted the "same car and different temperature" special service on Line 4, and carried out comprehensive upgrades and transformation of the air conditioning system. Among them, 1 to 3 sections of each train are "strongly cold carriages", with the average temperature of the carriages being about 24 degrees Celsius, 4 to 6 sections of the carriage being "weakly cold carriages", with the average temperature of the carriage being about 27 degrees Celsius. Subsequently, Xi'an Metro promoted this practice on Line 3 and will accelerate the debugging and testing of other lines and expand the service scope.
It turns out that after the idea of "same car and different warmth" was proposed, Xi'an Metro Line 4 established a technical research team composed of 11 technical personnel to actively understand the pilot information of cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, and independently formulate plans based on the vehicle structure and software characteristics of Xi'an Metro. Everyone took the initiative to give up their weekend breaks and worked overtime to overcome technical problems. They revised the technical plan four times, updated the software 5 times, and joined hands with manufacturers, flight attendants, signal and other related units many times. It took more than two months to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.

Whenever night falls, the last subway train slowly heads to the finish line, and there is still a group of people still sticking to their posts. They are subway maintenance personnel. They carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship and provide solid guarantees for the travel safety of Xi'an citizens with their excellent skills.
As a shunt driver in the section, Na Jun moved the electric bus to a designated location for maintenance every night after twelve o'clock every night. The Weihe Depot side-spanning warehouse came to Xi'an Metro Vehicles 1 maintenance and maintenance branch. The huge LED screen hanging in the reservoir area highlights the increasing number of safe operation days.
Vehicles Department is mainly responsible for the daily use and maintenance of electric buses, engineering vehicles and maintenance equipment of Xi'an Metro Lines 1, 2 and 3, electric buses, large frame repairs of electric buses, and emergency rescue work for emergencies. Every night, they walk through narrow trenches, enduring mosquito bites, and through eyes, ears, touching hands, and smelling noses, they conduct comprehensive inspections and maintenance of tens of thousands of equipment and components of a train within 45 minutes to ensure that the train is out of the warehouse and operates safely the next day. In just one night, a train maintenance worker had to walk nearly ten kilometers to complete the maintenance task that day.
Like night homework, daytime inspection homework is also racing against time. With the continuous increase in passenger flow and the increase in online trains, the train's in-depth maintenance projects can only be carried out during the clearance time of the sunroof. The temperature of the train back to warehouse is close to 80 degrees Celsius, and there are hot mechanical parts everywhere, but the maintenance workers still need to seize the time to carry out maintenance operations. The temperature at the bottom of the train was the inspection and maintenance of the train air conditioner. The maintenance workers wore safety helmets and tightened the safety ropes to open the covers and replace the old filters on the 12 units of the train. In less than ten minutes of the operation, the sweat was soaked in the work clothes.
8 years ago, the first batch of Xi'an subway vehicle maintenance personnel cultivated the craftsman spirit of "hard work, courage to contribute, serious research, unity and mutual assistance" during the preparations for the operation of Line 2.
