People's Daily Nanjing, November 3 (Li Zipei) Old-fashioned barber shop, "28-Big Bar" bicycle, foot-stitching sewing machine... Nowadays, these living elements from the 1980s reappear on Nanjing Nanhu East Road. After nearly two months of renovation and renewal, the "Nanhu Memory" urban renewal project in Jianye District, Nanjing has opened its nostalgic street, attracting citizens and tourists to check in.
At the end of 1985, the first phase of Nanhu New Village was completed, becoming the largest and most complete new residential area in Jiangsu Province at that time. Nanhu Lake is not only the beginning of the modern residence history of Nanjing, but also witnesses the changes in Nanjing's urban development. It is understood that the urban renewal project combines urban history and cultural heritage, which not only retains urban memory, but also transforms characteristic culture into a vivid experience scene, making Nanhu East Road a friendly and tangible life museum.
