Automation Institute has built its own, and has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for my country's artificial intelligence academic and industry over 60 years, and has achieved fruitful results. They are now active in universities, research institutes and enterprises in the fields of artificial intelligence and robots. Based on the good research foundation in the fields of artificial intelligence and automation and robots, the current status of the talent team, and the close cooperative relationship with technology companies in the field, the Institute of Automation connects more key research projects with enterprise market application development, combines the institute's technical R&D strength with the enterprise's data asset capabilities, matches the cultivation of professional talents with various industries, matches domestic talent training with global talent needs, innovates talent training models, and provides a continuous talent reserve for the national artificial intelligence and robot development strategy.
As of the end of 2017, the Institute of Automation had a total of 896 employees, including 795 scientific and technological personnel and 54 scientific and technological support personnel. Including 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1 academician of the Academy of Sciences in developing countries, 92 researchers and senior engineering and technical personnel, and 229 associate researchers and senior engineering and technical personnel. There are 4 chief scientists of the national 973 projects and 8 IEEE Fellow; 22 candidates for the " Hundred People Program " of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2 candidates for the " Western Light " talent; 14 candidates for the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund , 5 candidates for the 90 million talent project in the new century.
Institute of Automation is one of the first batch of authorized doctoral and master's degree awarding units approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee in 1981. It currently has four majors: control theory and control engineering, pattern recognition and intelligent system , computer application technology and social computing, and has a doctoral and master's training site for second-level disciplines , and has control science and engineering 1 major first-level disciplines postdoctoral mobile station . There are 696 graduate students (including 378 doctoral students and 318 master students), and 47 postdoctoral students are on the site.
This institute warmly welcomes students majoring in computer science, control science, mathematics, electronics and related information. In 2019, 110 doctoral students are planned to be recruited, of which 59 are admitted as direct doctoral students, 43 are transferred to doctoral students, and a total of 8 candidates are recruited. In addition, the School of Artificial Intelligence in the Institute of Automation recruits about 28 general doctoral students, and a total of about 36 doctoral students are recruited. 1. Cultivate goals

2. Application requirements
1. Citizen of the People's Republic of China.
2. Support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, be willing to serve the socialist modernization construction, have good moral character, and abide by laws and regulations.
3. Persons who have obtained a master's degree or are fresh master's graduates with national recognition of their academic qualifications (can obtain a master's degree before admission to a doctoral degree).
4. Be healthy, no more than 45 years old.
5. There are written recommendations from two professors (or experts with considerable professional and technical titles) who have applied for the subject and professional field.
6. Candidates in the following situations must obtain the consent of the entrusted training or targeted training unit when applying for the exam. The unit shall not bear any responsibility for disputes arising from the application issues between the candidates and their units or commissioned or targeted units:
(1) is a fresh graduate student with commissioned or targeted training;
(2) a candidate who intends to apply for targeted training;
(3) a candidate who was originally a master student with commissioned or targeted training and is currently performing the contract service period.
7. Active-duty military candidates shall go through the application procedures in accordance with the regulations of the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army of China.

5. The preliminary examination and re-examination
The preliminary examination is conducted in a written examination. For details of the specific examination subjects, please refer to the admissions major catalog.
Re-examination will be selected based on the candidate's initial examination scores. The re-examination method, the content and time of the re-examination will be notified separately.
6. Physical examination
1. The physical examination time is scheduled during the re-examination of the candidates. During the re-examination, our institute will organize the physical examination to the designated hospital for a designated medical examination.
2. Physical examination standards: refer to the "Guiding Opinions on the Physical Examination of General Colleges and Universities" (Teaching [2003] No. 3) revised by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, and the China Federation of Disabled Persons.
7. Admission
Admission list is determined based on the admission plan issued by the state, the candidate's admission test scores (including the preliminary examination and re-examination scores), the academic performance of the master's (undergraduate) stage, the master's (bachelor's) thesis and review letter, ideological and political performance, professional quality and physical health status. Candidates who fail the political review and physical examination or fail the re-examination will not be admitted. After passing the preliminary and re-examinations, fresh graduates must complete their master's thesis in a timely manner, defend their application for a master's degree, obtain a master's degree, submit a master's degree certificate when enrolling, and only pass the review can be admitted.
8. Targeted training
All majors can recruit targeted training doctoral students. They need to study full-time during the training period and do not recruit in-service students. The admission standards are consistent with the general recruitment exam. Before formal admission, a tripartite agreement is signed between the student himself, the employer and the automation research required.
