Recently, the list of winners of the professional group of the 2021 Sony World Photography Competition was announced.
Sony World Photography Awards is one of the most influential photography awards in the world. The competition is open to all photographers, including professional photographers, amateur photographers, young photographers and photography students. The event is now the most authoritative voice in the industry, providing a powerful platform for all winners.
In the past year, most people have been restricted to a certain range and cannot conduct photography and field trips everywhere, but the number of participants and the high quality of the entries have made the organizing committee feel deeply moved, and the ultimate display of the beauty and diversity of the earth. From eye-catching aerial photography to vivid portraits, the winners show their superb skills, divergent thinking, and personalized style.
China Photography Network learned from the event organizers that the total number of entries in this competition exceeded 330,000, and the expert judges selected 30 finalists and 58 shortlisted photographers from the professional group. Among them, Zhejiang Ningbo photographer Gu Guanghui's work "The Construction Site Hymn" was shortlisted for the professional construction category and will enter the finals.
Professional Group Photographer of the Year Award will be selected from the 30 photographers who entered the finals on April 15, 2021. While winning the title of "Professional Group Photographer of the Year", there will also be a cash prize of US$25,000, a set of Sony digital imaging equipment, and works will be exhibited at Somerset Palace in London, England.

Final Work

This is a wartime military land that has been abandoned for decades. My two friends, Martin Chlum and Michal Seba, bought this shabby site to fulfill their dream of building the last resting place for animals. With the help of Czech minimalist architect Petr Hajek, they set up this "eternal hunting ground", which includes a mourning hall, a crematorium and about 40 hectares of clearing land where wild animals or pets can rest in peace after death.

Due to work reasons, photographers often visit this construction site in Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province, China. The photographer used a drone to record the daily work of each node on the construction site.

These picturesque wooden houses are composed of heavy square beams and are built into a simple block structure. They have a gate on the side facing the mountain and two small windows on the side facing the valley, which seem to be staring at passers-by. They are used as shelter for local wildlife in the summer and are used to store agricultural equipment and hay in the winter. Today, with the continuous improvement of modern storage methods, the barn utilization rate of Alps is getting lower and lower, and is gradually being forgotten.

This set of special works depicts the administrative, legislative and judicial buildings, as well as sculptures in the Three Rights Square in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. The sculptures of these two figures were created by Bruno Giorgi, known as Os Candangos or Warriors, which represent the workers who built the Brazilian capital. Another sculpture on the square is Alfredo Seschiatti's work "Justice". Brazil is experiencing a turbulent political period, and the war between executive, legislative and judicial power has shaken the identity of Brazilians. Brazilian citizens must unite to become the fourth force outside the administration, legislation and justice.

In 2003, the Rich invested 100 million euros to renovate it and transformed it into one of the major cultural centers in northern Italy.
