Hello!
The golden autumn of October is like a woven sun. In a blink of an eye, the preparations for the 2020 China Open Source Annual Conference (COSCon) have been completed. Kaiyuan Society is an open source alliance with deep influence, manufacturer-neutral, pure volunteer, and non-profit open source alliance in the domestic and foreign open source industry. We focus on open source governance, international alignment, community development and open source projects. The annual open source event COSCon, which has been dedicated to creating by Kaiyuan Society, has also focused on these four cores along the way. We know that on the road of development, we cannot do without the cooperation and support of everyone. COSCon'20 thanks for joining the community and working together with us through thick and thin.
Despite the reasons for the epidemic, Kaiyuan Society will always stick with its partners. This year, Apache Roadshow - China once again joined forces with Kaiyuan Society. At the same time, we have also joined hands with the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) and Apache Local Community - Beijing to invite Apache domestic and foreign celebrities to bring you exciting sharing. This year's China Open Source Annual Conference was held as scheduled (online live broadcast + offline participation), and branch venues were set up in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Changsha and other places, and local open source enthusiasts were invited to join. This year's Open Source Annual Conference will be held and successfully concluded on October 24-25, 2020 with the theme of "Open Source for Good". During these two days, there were more than 100 speeches and other activities contributed by experts and enthusiasts from the open source field, bringing participants a different open source journey. The themes of this conference include: education and charity, community and governance, social/economic/legal/culture, female half-day, artificial intelligence, cloud native and microservices, data technology, hardware, operating systems, blockchain and other directions. We have heard many interesting stories or experiences about free/open source during these two days.

Paul Wang: As a liberal arts linuxer, I have always benefited from various open source software : from daily use (using Fedora), to classes, writing papers, translating, subtitles, and even writing some Python scripts myself for office automation... Now I can't imagine that the world without open source software can't leave open source software. I have always thought about how I should give back to the community and participate in the community, but I have always struggled to find a good way. Therefore, being able to participate in the China Open Source Annual Conference as a volunteer can realize one of my dreams: I can also make some small contributions. In this process, I met many lovely partners and gained precious friendships. This experience I will never forget for my life and is one of the most meaningful chapters in my college career.
Heroza: After half a year of contact with open source, I felt the influence of technology in charity. I participated in the annual meeting for the first time and gained a lot~
