Facts have proved that where good-personism is prevalent is often where criticism and self-criticism are inadequate, while the absence of criticism and self-criticism is often because there are problems that are unwilling to reveal, cover up the truth, and avoid contradictions, which will inevitably lead to losses to the cause of the Party and the people. For example, in 1958, the Beidaihe Conference decided to double the steel output to 10.7 million tons. Mao Zedong verified to the participants one by one: Is 1070 OK?
