How to start and advance this digital transformation journey has become a problem facing many industrial enterprises. , and a group of industrial enterprises that took the lead in digital exploration have widely applied digital technology to factory operations through the integration of new generation information technology and industry, and have continuously in-depth innovations in business processes, management systems, data systems, etc., forming a new form that quickly responds to market demand, innovates operating models, and green and sustainable development, and has also become the "navigator" of the digital transformation of industrial enterprises. 021 "China's industrial digital transformation leading enterprise" In the selection, selected 50 shortlisted companies based on the e-works digital transformation evaluation model. These transformation "leading" companies such as have outstanding performance in the depth and breadth of core business applications, data collection and integration application capabilities, data-based insight capabilities, and the actual value generated to the enterprise through digital transformation, and stand out from many participating companies. 50 shortlisted companies cover 17 provinces and cities across the country, covering 14 major industries including automobiles and parts, mechanical equipment, electrical, electronic communications, home building materials, and new energy. Among them, 58% of the enterprises are listed companies, and the regional distribution is mostly those in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta.

It is worth noting that the shortlisted enterprises this time are many of the leading industrial enterprises, including "Fortune 500", "Industry Leader", "Industry Leader", "World's No. 1 Brand", "Global Industry Leader", "Industry Invisible Champion", and "World's No. 1 Market Share", among which "Industry Leader/Leader" enterprises account for more than 65%, and world-class industry leading enterprises have reached 22%. These leading enterprises have overcome all obstacles and are at the forefront in the journey of digital transformation, and have achieved remarkable results. After a comprehensive comparison of the current digital transformation status of these 50 companies, it was found that a complete portrait of "pilot" has gradually become clear.
data shows that leading enterprises generally have high investment in digital construction. html The number of enterprises invested more than 100 million yuan exceeds 54%, and enterprises with more than 10 million yuan account for 96%. Compared with the 2021 e-works Research survey data on the digitalization/intelligence of 500 industrial enterprises, there is a big difference in scale, showing a clear "X" shape. For most industrial enterprises, , especially small and medium-sized enterprises, has extremely limited funds for digital transformation projects, and most of them are in the investment range below 5 million yuan (35.6%) . Only a few companies can reach the investment scale of 100 million yuan (6%), and a considerable number of companies have not yet started construction, which is in contrast to the high investment of leading enterprises. It can be seen that if digital transformation wants to achieve results, it still requires strong financial support.

The deep integration of core technologies and industries in digital transformation such as cloud computing, big data, mobile Internet, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, etc. is triggering profound changes and impact on industrial enterprises' research and development design, production and manufacturing, industrial forms, business models, business operations, decision-making methods, organizational forms, corporate culture, etc. From the perspective of application of emerging technologies, leading enterprises are at the forefront of the application of digital technology, and are deeply integrated with the enterprise's business, and are applied to various fields such as production, R&D, design, manufacturing, and management, comprehensively improving the digital level of enterprises. Among them, the applications of the Internet of Things and big data are almost standard configurations for leading enterprises, accounting for as high as 82% and 70% respectively. In addition, cloud, 5G, and edge computing applications also account for a relatively high proportion.

Lead enterprises realize device monitoring and data collection through the Internet of Things, use big data technology to build a production visualization platform, and build an intelligent detection platform based on AI. uses G to create a high-speed, low-latency production network. For industrial enterprises, industrial software is not only a multiplier for improving production efficiency and product quality, but also an intangible container for rich industrial knowledge. leads enterprises to apply industrial software more widely. On the basis of implementing the informatization of key businesses such as planning, design, production, logistics, quality, and marketing, comprehensively realizes the digitalization of the entire business, all processes and all supply chain of the enterprise through horizontal, vertical and end-to-end integration. Data shows that 96% of leading enterprises have already applied MES/MOM systems, and the deployment proportion of ERP, WMS, PLM, and CRM is also very high. The complexity of the enterprise organization, business, products and value chain has brought many obstacles to the digital transformation of industrial enterprises. In fact, digital transformation is not the application of a single technology, nor is it just a technical proposition, but also a strategic and management proposition. Therefore, enterprises need to deeply analyze the needs and breakthroughs of digital transformation and determine a clear direction of digital transformation. After years of in-depth analysis of the digital transformation process and transformation paths of industrial enterprises, e-works Research has proposed six typical paths for digital transformation of industrial enterprises, namely: business model transformation, R&D model transformation, manufacturing model transformation, service model transformation, operation model transformation and decision-making model transformation.
In terms of the transformation model selection of 50 leading enterprises, 86% of enterprises will focus on promoting the "manufacturing model transformation" and achieving better transformation results.
