The General Administration of Customs of the Mainland recently announced that it would suspend the import of pineapples from Taiwan from March 1 to the mainland.
htmlOn March 1, Taiwanese host Chen Huiwen contacted mainland netizens about this matter and asked, "Whether the suspension of imports of Taiwanese pineapples will have an impact on the mainland."This Shandong netizen said, "There is a county called Xuwen County , which produces 700,000 tons of pineapples every year. If it is not imported from Taiwan, it will be beneficial to them (Xuwen County)."
Hearing the data of Xuwen County's annual output of 700,000 tons of pineapples, Chen Huiwen exclaimed: "In the same place in mainland China, is there 700,000 tons of pineapples per year?"
Mainland netizens confirmed that Chen Huiwen heard it correctly and said that the entire mainland produces about 2 million tons of pineapples per year.

Chen Huiwen sighed: "So you have pineapples yourself..."
Guangdong "Sea of Pineapple" to learn about it!
The above netizens mentioned that Guangdong Zhanjiang City Xuwen County is a major pineapple cultivation county in my country. The planting area of Xuwen pineapple reaches 350,000 mu, and the annual output accounts for one-third of the mainland pineapple production.

In March and April every year, billions of local pineapples converge into a "green sea", which is described by netizens as "the sea of pineapples". According to statistics, one in every 3 pineapples on the mainland market comes from this "sea". In April last year, Guangdong Xuwen fresh pineapples were exported to Japan for the first time.

At present, Xuwen pineapples will be launched in large quantities soon. The "Xuwen Pineapple" high-speed railway special train has set off recently and will be sold to major markets such as Lanzhou, Beijing, and Shanghai.
