IT Home reported on October 7 that TSMC announced its September results today, with consolidated revenue of 208.25 billion NT$2 (about 47.064 billion yuan), a decrease of 4.5% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 36.4%. The total revenue from January to September 2022 was NT$1638.36 billion, a year-on-year increase of 42.6%.
TSMC's stock price opened lower today, closing at NT$438, down 13 yuan.
IT Home learned that TSMC's revenue hit a record high in August. Based on TSMC's previous revenue estimate for the third quarter, the revenue in a quarter was about US$19.8-20.6 billion, and calculated at the exchange rate of NT$29.7 to US$1 against US$1, the revenue in the third quarter was about RMB5881-611.8 billion, a quarterly increase of 10-14.5%.
Judging from TSMC's revenue performance from July to August, the market estimates that as long as the September revenue exceeds NT$183.2 billion, TSMC's third-quarter revenue target can be achieved, as the depreciation in the NT$3 quarter will increase, which will help TSMC's new NT$200 million revenue.
